They creep me out @.@
& its funny to watch them get startled when the bands changes directions towards them.

One time at one of the band shows i went to, a judge was standing in front of a stool (he didn't know it was there) & the bandlings stared marching backwards towards him & he backed up
everyone was standing up in the band stands to see him fall & he did ^_^!
it was hilarious =3

We strongly encourage band members to hit the judges any chance they get (meaning, when they're supposed to). I don't think I ever quite hit a judge... I have been imitating judges while walking around the field when they're running drills. I've been run over a few times. It's pretty funny, really.

At Cary Band Day, one of out trombones actually hit a judge in the head. And at Grand Nationals, the clarinet section almost ran one over. I couldn't stand them because I was the only sax on my side of the 50 and no one else on my side of the field had the same part as me and there was a judge standing right in front of me.

lol field judges are fun. I actually knew one of the field judges we had this year. that was amusing. When we were preparing for competition our BD forgot that there were field judges, it was amusing when i reminded him. so we were reviewing the video from the week before and he'slike "they won't see that these lines aren't straight" it was at such an angle that you wouldn't be able to tell all that well from the press box. i'm like "Yes they will." and he said "no they won't." "um, yeah they will, there are field judges." "Oh, right, i forgot. I didn't tell first hour." "Thats because you forgot about them." oh god do i have fun with my BD. It's so amusing when i remind him of certain things.

but sadly nobody in our band has run into a field judge yet. Though i enjoy watching them run when we come towards them. XD

heh, one of the first things i got told when i joined colorguard was that judges liked to be hit...and i hope to get a chance to do so before i graduate

Most of the competitions my band has been to does not use on field judges. I can only remember one. I was terrified because I was a freshman and I had to march right by come guy mumbling into a recording device. ;P If there have been any since, I don't recall. Now I am more focused on marching. ^^

Eh heh. I wanna see a judge fall. xD

One time, my sister ended up marching straight at a judge. He didn't move so she just ran over him. He was on the ground, and she just kept going and got back in step. It was hilarious.

Field judges make excellent target practice. twisted

You get points off for avoiding them, so running them over is better than swerving around them. It's their fault for not paying attention. stare

I never got the chance to tread on a field judge. But I did mow down a cameraman at one of our halftime shows. While he was recording the game. Live. Watching the game on TV afterwards was fun because the camera starts moving wildly and I go "Yep, that's me!" 3nodding
