So, our last guild photo shoot was a resounding success, and because of it, we have our nifty homepage design. But that was all six months ago, and our guild has grown pretty big in those six months. That being said, I figured that it's about time that we do a new guild photo with a different theme to include all our new members, celebrate all our old members, and show off what we did in the year 2007.
Of course we will be able to dress up our avitars to match the theme, but I want YOU to tell me what our theme will be!
Post any ideas that you have about the new guild photo idea here and we can discuss them until we come up with the one that fits us the best! If there are some that are close, then we'll have a vote later on to determine which style we should go with.
So, what should our theme be?

well, since we're all 21+, why not a pub scene? i think that'd be fun.have all of us sitting there with big smiles on our faces and stuff.

A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight... I agree. A nice English pub is a great idea. Fiding a picture may prove a bit more difficult. ...and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.

I'm thinking "Cheers" I like the "Cheers" idea...we're probably mostly old enough to actually remember Cheers, plus there's the "Everybody knows your name" part to it. Dressing up for the theme would be interesting, though. sweatdrop

Well I think we should at least come up with one more option and brainstorming before we pick. As for finding a picture, check out Flickr's Creative Commons licensed works. If it is licensed as By then all you have to do is state the profile of the person it was taken from and you can use it manipulate it etc. So for example here is a good one as long as we attribute it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/flashlamp/1158118139/

That's funny. That's the first picture I looked for after Dafthank posted this thread, but I couldn't find a big enough one of the empty bar. Next I thought of the pub in Hot Fuzz because it was so cute, but again, not a big enough pic. ...and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.

Yay for Dafthank!!! I'm definitely in! Just need some time to brainstorm themes... The pub one sounds good though!
I remember last time we were considering picking a colour or two to use as a theme? Even if we don't do it for this particular picture, I think that would be really effective!

Well a Blackjack/casino theme would work, if anyone wanted to. There's a movie out called "21" which is about the game. Personally I don't like casinos and that sort of thing, but it's similar to the theme picture which is up now. It could incorporate "Cards" from Gaia too.

Well I am not sure what other items sound good, I just think it good to brainstorm. So here is my brain dump. The pub idea does sound good but here are other options for themes and backgrounds.
So a list of some things a 21+ person can do would be (text based outline list)
: Alcohol
: : : Pub (everyone have a cup/mug/bottle etc)
: : : Club (wild club attire or classy club attire)
: Gambling
: : : Casino (High-rollers)
: : : Horse Racing (Derby theme)
: can rent cars
: : : Racing Track
: Hold Jobs & Mortgages
: : : Business attire & corporate landscape
We could also have specific color themes, or just say everyone should be monochrome or incorporate as many different colors as possible etc.

A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight... You can't rent a car until you're 25 so that one doesn't really apply. It does for probably the majority of us, but it's not an age 21 milestone like the rest of your examples.
The gambling in general theme is good but you're allowed to gamble at 18 so it doesn't fit that milestone age of 21 either.
Please don't think I'm undermining those ideas or anything, because it's 21+ so any of that stuff would work fine. ...and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.

I think it would be neat to have a 2007 21+ Guild Yearbook.

A yearbook idea does sound fun. ...and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world. Maybe because Shower/Bath time is alone time. No chatter of tv, radio, or even other people (unless it's a "happy" shower, but thinking usually doesn't occur during those showers). It's odd, perhaps that's why I take 45 minute showers, it's my "me" time (and my long hair takes an eternity to wash). But I also love the pub idea.
