Do you believe that micheal moore makes his documentaries (sicko, Phareinheit 911) to make money or to get the truth behind things for americans
I think he exposes the *parts* of the truth (those parts that would be beneficial to him via the media) in order to make money. he exploits the things we already know are bad, but he doesnt always tell the whole of the story.
for example, I've seen Sicko. I also work the switchboard for one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the world (if I can help it, I'd never work in health ins after doing medical claims for a dr's office and battling with them to pay patients bills), so I know the bad things are. when in the movie he went over to England to show how wonderful their healthcare is (free hospitalization, free medicine, etc) what he failed to state (what I learned after the fact) was that in England the gov't taxes aprox 1/2 your salary. I hardly think Americans would go for that. and in Canada it could take up to a year for someone to get whatever operation it is that they need, therefore they could die waiting. I'm also told (it would be great if someone from England could verify this) that if lets say, a woman has a lump in her breast that *could* be cancerous, and there's history in her family for breast cancer, the breast automatically comes off, and no replacements.
I would like these things verified, but this is the other side of the story that was never touched upon.
