It's an awesome series. I like how Darren Shan puts himself within the series, I have never seen an author do that. And I've read all of them kind of disappointed me on how it ended.

I agree with Angel, It was sad how Darren ended up dying, although it could be looked at as happy as he get's to see all his friends that died including Mr.Crepsley.....why Crepsley, why not that useless bag of bones Harkat. Mr.Crepsley has had more effect on Darren I think.

It was an end to Darren's fate. Harkat, I can see why he didn't die. But it makes me so mad at what Mr.Tall did the boys (Darren and stevie(

I think I may be the only person on this forum that actually liked the ending. I think it honestly suited the book seires, it shocked me, like everything was ment to, it scared me, like it was ment to, and made me sad, like I always get when good books end.
I fell in love with the series a while ago. I actually got to meet Darren Shan a few days after my thirteen's birthday. Three going on four years later and it's still my most treasured memory. He auto-graphed a few of my books. I still need to buy number nine!

How lucky of you to meet him.
I really like how no one is pure evil or pure good, like Kurda. Really surprised me how he's Harket. The ending was okay in my opinion. Could have been better could have been worse. *shugs*

Well, I suppose the ending was good. It was more so the loss of my beloved Darren Shan the vampire that made me sad ):
It was really great though, especially how he wrapped it up and even said that's how it's been given to you right now. Darren's alter-ego of sorts I suppose.

It was an awesome series that he made seem very realistic. And even though the ending was weird, it tied everything up nicely.
