I <3 my piano! I'm on color guard, and everyone else on the marching band is always like "I play the saxophone, and the mellophone, and the trombone, and the clarinet, and blah blah blah..." and I'm like "Nope, you lose. Piano is where it's at."

HELL YES.
It's really hard to find some good piano players these days.
People think it's "to hard to learn."
And I'm like "So thats why you picked an easy instrument? Like a trumpet?"
I went to band camp for like 2 weeks, and I learned baritone and trumpet, cause they're pretty much the same thing XD.
Don't play em, cause I HATE EM. stare

^^ conversation i have constantly.
i love piano! what i hate is having to roll around the gigantic amp all the time. but i share with the guitarst, so i make him push the cart :]
acctually i play "synthesizer" but whatever you want to call it....
yes i play piano in the pit. our band is so tiny we have:
me: synthesizer
one guy: guitar
one girl: mallets [xylo , vibes, marimba]
two girls on the misc pit.

I play the piano in my school Jazz band (( we're not too good though, we have a REALLY sucky lead guitar )) we're gonna be preforming at the South Florida Fair (( if any of you live in FL, come to the SFF! I'll see you there! ;D [Jan. 25 & 28] )) We'll be playing with Bach. All the stuck-up-artsy-fartsy middle school kids who got into the school of the arts. Though, I'm planning on going to Dreyfoos next year. :3
oh, and one last thing...
PIANO PLAYERS ROCK YOUR SOX!!!

I'm playing in the Trombone in the Jazz band right now, but I'm learning the piano fast. It was like... "What's a swing beat?" For a week lol. And by guitar, do you mean bass?

i played piano this fall in marching band. i'm not in concert band [but i should be because our mallet player sucks] but i'm playing mallets for indoor.

@Hammytime: Cool. My best friends a Trombone player in the Jazz band. ;D
@xCosmic_Chaosx: Schweet. I'm the only Euphonium player in Band 3. And in Band 2 (( a.k.a all the no0bs >3 )) there's like, no low brass/woodwinds at all and only one precussion player.
@Hammytime (( again )): No. We have a pretty good bass player... but our lead guitar sucks butt. I can play better than him and I don't know how to play guitar, you can fall asleep during his solos, AND he's a hypocrite. D< Putting it bluntly, we need a new one.

I just recently started teaching myself piano... it's not taking too long though since I already play another instrument and I understand music and stuff. I've been practicing a lot, and I've always wanted to learn. :]

AHHAAH lols. ME TOO> im in the colorguardddd. by ive been laying paino for 9 yearsish??? but i ranomley went into colorguard cause i int want to do pe.. hehehe. but i wish i did pit. or now i wnt to learn flute =] but yea. marching band overall is uber fun. its so funny wathing everyone stare at me when i play the show on the piano. hahah theyre all like. WTF how can u play it? O_O; by ear of course. hahahha =] but yea.

i (sorta) play piano, not in any band tho, just 4 fun...
still learning, teaching myself how 2 play w/ 2 hands, and damit, i can't do it.....oh well, (i'm still gonna try! sweatdrop )
i can only play a few songs tho, so i'm still kinda noobish but, w/e neutral stare
