So...What was the best christmas gift you ever received? What was your worst?
My best was when I got my first Nintendo Game Boy. The ones that looked like cinder blocks with those Green and Black Screens. biggrin
As for the worst, it was a plant that I got from a girl who told me on Christmas that she wanted to be just friends. emo

The best was my laptop last Christmas. biggrin The worst was when someone gave me Barbies when I was 16 or something. Hooray for out of touch relatives!

I think my best Christmas is when I was little, we traveled to Kentucky to see my dad who at that time was in the Marines and he was station there for 3 years while we lived in North Carolina. That was my first white Christmas and I got to see my dad and watch the snow fall outside from a hotel window. Plus I got what I wanted Clue the board game. I think that was my first and last real Christmas with the whole family.
As for a bad Christmas I don't think I never had one. I always made the best of every holiday and was thankful for what I had.

I can't say that I've recieved bad gifts...I bet I have but I can't recall them. As for the best I'll have to go with LuanrKit on this one.
I come from a very large family. My Da is the youngest of 7, each one of his silblings had at least two children. The whole lot of us gathered together for the holidays in the early 90's for the frist time. We crammed all of us in my Aunt's house, I think we may have been missing only two cousins. This would have been the frist time I met a few of my cousins who live in Florida. So... I got more family.

Being a 90's kid as well, the best gift I remember recieving was my first Nintendo (NES). As to this day I still have it, and it still works semi-good. Hurray for retro games. I also have two younger brothers so it gave us hours of enjoyment for us all.
As for the worst gift, I can't really ever say I've gotten a bad x-mas gift. Besides it's not how much a gift is worth it's the thought right?

like a few others here, i can't say i've ever had a bad x-mas gift. mine were either something i really wanted, or something practical that i needed. i'd have to say my best x-mas was the first one that my family had when we moved out of my grandmother's back in 1986. my mom was worried about not being able to get us anything because, well, we were well below poverty level. my mom talked to a couple of people in the trailer park we moved into, just to get to know them. she told someone that she wasn't gonna be able to give my brother and i a decent christmas. the person my mom talked to started talking to everyone in the park without her knowledge. she was coming home from work to find small piles of clothes and toys on the porch. needless to say, thanks to many many "phantom gifters", my brother and i had an amazing first christmas in our own home. i remember my mom telling me that santa might not be able to find my brother and i that year. turns out he had no problems.

The best gift I got for x-mas was my car, the worst gift was a pair of slippers although they are practical to keep my feet warm.

I think the worst I ever got was at a chritmas party at my work, I got this candle with a little angel on it. I never really liked it......
and the best present I got was having my 20 year old cat have a chance to live anther month. I know it's not really a present, but to me it is.

My best present was my cloak. Tremendously useful and fun, made from great fabric.
Word gift? Not sure, most of mine have been ok to good to great. I suppose I am lucky in that respect. Perhaps my expectations are not very high so nothing is terribly disappointing or I have just blocked it out of my memory.
