Love's Stain
Roses are black,
smiles are grey.
The light begins to fade
as all hope subsides to jade.
Roses are true,
and the green leaves are worthless-
as are you.
I fell into your arms,
but barred as they be,
they never ever caught me.
Roses are dyed red,
Thorns are too.
Painted with my blood,
the soakened petals scream out loud:
"WE HAVE FOOLED ANOTHER!"
Roses are signs,
hearts are weak,
able to be blinded by the
true happiness we all seem to seek.
Now we all are forever scarred with the despair
of true love's
first love's stain...

I really like this poem. Scale of one to ten... I'm afraid I would have to say a six. Simply because being from an art school, I see (and workshop) poems from people that are actually taking a poetry class. (I'm one of those lovely people!) it has simple description, but it needs nothing more really... I loved it.

its pretty good! if its supposed to hav rythm and ryhme, then it doesnt hav much.... but other that its good! i giv it a 8/10
