so we had our first and last comp on sat. we lost. 7th out of 7. but the crowd loved us.
our show wasn't really one for comp, it was a crowd pleasing show, so the judges were all hard core on us like "omg! That one clarinet player was off step for two beats! Dock them 3 zillion points!" It was lame. and on top of that, we got moved up a division so we were now up against bigger bands who go to comps like that every week. (Not to mention their shows were made for comps) If we had been in the division we were in last year, we would have come in second.
no worries tho, we had fun and there were people coming up to me who recognized me as from my school because of a folded up uniform on the top of my bass drum telling me that our show was amazing and we were their favorite and we should have taken first. so that was nice. and we had fun.
so anyone else have any end of marching season stories to tell?

Once my mb placed 4 out of 4 overall. But we still cheered insanely loud when we got the participation plaqu. ^^;

Aw, ours wasn't exactly a failure story.
At our last competititon, we got Grand Championship. ^^.
And we worked hard for that sucker.
However, our last football game.
Heh, that was a different story.
We messed up horribly on our last song [cold + thanksgiving break + people missing]
Not to mention the other school was all-black. [it was an away game]
And they were really low class.
They started booing us in the middle of our show.
But overall, the season was a success and I was glad to do it. :]

At our first comp, we placed 26 out of 30 or something like that...
Let's just say that our director was very unhappy.

But overall, the season was a success and I was glad to do it. :] aww, thats lame... the band at the new high school in my area did that to us. they threw stuff at one of our tenner players to. (Corse, they were blown away by our show cool ) thats just rude... stare

...We got 17th out at 16 at championships. x_X Sad, no? (No, I didn't hit wrong keys. We really DID get 17 out of 16 in our class)
