My boyfriend, who was actually my fiance at one point but we called that off for a while, and I have gotten back together recently. He's dropped the skank he had a fling with like a rock, and told his other option that his feelings for me are stronger, so he's not going to be with her in order for us to be together. Note: The fling and the other option came along while we weren't together.
Well, not to long ago he made himself a tattoo gun and has been using it.
Today he suprised me, more so his friends did, by revealing that he had tattoo'd my initials on his ankle backwards. (Like looking in a mirror backwards.)
He had sort of been hinting at getting a tattoo that involved me since he made the gun and subtly asking me what I would do if he got one that involved me. I told him that I didn't want him to do anything that he might regret, but it would be quite flattering if he did. I said the same thing basically when he asked me what I thought.
Of course, i'm very appreciative of his gesture, but do you think he made a mistake? I mean, I would stay with him until the end of time, if he felt the same. Should I get a tattoo that has something to do with him in return?

Personally, I don't really like the thought of immortalizing a current relationship on one's body. While one's skin will last them a liftetime, few relationships are as permanent.
However, it was a nice gesture of him.

Bad bad bad idea. Never get a tattoo about anyone who is still alive.
