This year we're playing Vehicle as our Senior song. It was Saturday Night In The Park and 25 or 6 to 4, but the freshmen can't play it. I hope we play Late In The Evening for my senior song. (I want a solo. lol) So what are/were the seniors songs you're playing this year or when you were seniors?
Also, do you guys give anything to your section's Seniors during senior night? I'm a sophmore and I have two trombone seniors, so I'm gonna give them Hershey Kisses, Hershey Symphonic Chocolate, a card, and five dollars. They re perverted, but awesome. lol.
Next year, Imma give the Seniors personalized tshirts (cause I'll be in charge of the Tshirt Designs then).

My band does senior recognition for the marching band at our home show, but ours was canceled this year due to a hurricane (in November, in New England nonetheless...)
So we're doing it at the winter concert. Marching band is gonna perform, so the guard is gonna be there (they normally wouldn't; it's usually concert and jazz bands that perform)
Our BD gives us small presents, but otherwise nobody really does anything.

Aw! I'm sorry your parents didn't show up, peach_zelda! cry
Our senior night was earlier this month. Band members and family walked across the field and took pictures before the game (like what peach_zelda described). We wore sashes the band parents made that said either our band council office or "MHS Senior" if we weren't in band council (mine said Uniform Mgr and the "mugger" jokes popped up again xd ). After the game, our senior drum major led us out to the field and we marched out in a block and played the school song while the underclassmen watched from the stands. Then we did a scramble, made an 08, and played the fight song.
The band itself didn't do anything special for the seniors, but the uniform managers (my mum and I), band directors, and band boosters splurged and bought chords for them to wear. The other seniors aren't sure whether they love or hate me because not only do the chords give them a bit more power over the underclassmen, but everyone can tell they're seniors when they act up. xd
I'm trying to upload senior night pics to my photobucket as I type this, so I'll post them here when I'm done. smile

Just curious, because I go to an MHS too... Ah yeah, we were supposed to have our parents walk us across the field, too, but of course that didn't happen. Only our student instructors get cords, whether they're a senior or not. I'm sorry, I know that they let everyone recognize us, but they're just so annoying! At our last comp, none of ours were on the same way, and it just looked so bad!

At our last comp, none of ours were on the same way, and it just looked so bad! My MHS is Madison High School (We're actually James Madison High School but for some reason the J got dropped from the abbreviation this year confused ). What's yours? As for the chords, I'm the uniform manager so I go through and make sure all of the seniors have their chords on correctly before the games (what can I say? I'm a uniform nazis. xd ). We weren't allowed to wear them to competition because the band had to look uniform. Stupid rule if the drum majors wear something completely different (our DMs wear either a white skirt or white bibs)... rolleyes But I totally understand the chords looking bad if they're all on different ways. I'll admit that ours weren't all the same and looked horrible until I went through and changed them for senior night. sweatdrop ANYways... here's a pic of all of our band seniors:

Our senior night was horrible.
Nor for the seniors, no, that went fine.
But one of the sophmores got kneed in the eye before the game. >.<

Our senior night went well. This year, it was like any other game.
The senior song was "Karn Evil 9."
