Well, like it says, I'm working on a persona. I've been trying to find simple clothes (I'm really not a fan of lace sweatdrop ), and I found that Irish dresses are fairly pretty and simple. Unfortunately, I plan on rapier fighting, and I really don't want to be fighting in a dress. I would just be really uncomfortable doing it like that, so I was going to make a set of male garb and do that. I can't seem to find any good websites with garb, though. Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm pretty free on the period, as I'd like to find garb I like first. I'd appreciate any help!

Well... I've got some pictures of some female friends in their fencing attire, maybe they could give you some ideas.

Okay, so the people on the right in the top two pics are guys, but still.

I know quite a few lady fencers who make doublets for themselves. They look fantastic and serve just fine as armor, as long as you get the material you're using drop-tested.
