...coughed, sneezed, lost a shoe, dropped your instrument, etc...while performing/competing?

Or what are some of the craziest things that have happened to you during a field show?

The last football game, someone didn't tie their shoe on correctly and they lost it while marching.
lollll. It was so funny.

It was so windy and rainy, it was awful!
: (

My hair usually gets in my face and I can't play.
But, that's during rehearsul.

During Pre-UIL somebody actually lost their shoe on the field.
Had to go and get it back.
Dx

I would usually have to rub my eyes or get the sweat out.
During practice of course.

Last year a trombonist had to march during a competition without one of his shoes. That was because as we were marching on the field, the person behind him accidently stepped on his heel and it slipped off. lol. He was in the front row too, but no one noticed.

I messed up up on homecoming last year pretty badly. The day everyone learned the drill for homecoming, I was at bassoon tutoring on my etude and i had no clue what to do.. so at homecoming i did ok until we had to march off the field. i messed up pretty badly.

My shoes always untie. ><
Also, when we were practicing marching, our idiot sousaphone player left his instrument on the ground. We were marching backwards and I tripped on it. stare

Last year someone dropped a sousaphone. This year someone dropped another one straight on the bell. We've been attacked by sprinklers for every year I've been in marching band, I've tripped over my own feet, some dude fell on his butt during our last performance and a cymbal player broke a strap.

Of course, most of this was at practice.

It didn't happen to anyone in my band, but some poor schmuck lost his bell at a competition last Saturday and a field judge had to pick it up for him. He marched bell-less for the rest of the show.

I love that guy.

Well, when we went to horns up, I accidentally smacked a bar on the vibraphone...the only noise on the field was that Eb...>.>

This happen when the cadet band (name for Marching Band player that not in the first team in Indonesia) learn to play 'Gallant Entry' and do the display. We should do an across, so I ran, and a trumpet player behind me was run too fast, and he crush me, make me crush the tuba player in front of me, and the tuba player shouted, and I know why he shouted. My Baritone's bell stuck to his back, and I shouted too, because the Trumpet's bell was get stuck to my back, so I and that Tuba player must go to hospital and can't join display for 3 months. Then, when we join the exercise (ordinary exercise, without display), I got nose bleed when we should play 'Moondance', so before we start to play, I drank the blood in my mouthpiece, and must play with bleed nose, that make the Baritone's couch, Roni and Jodhy laugh, because my face look silly with the blood. Not funny! stressed

The worst thing I've done...well, it was only a practice, but I nearly fainted from lack of oxygen. We were parade marching and after a while I couldn't breathe and I had to sit down. If I hadn't, I would have passed out in front of the whole band. Not fun.

For some reason whenever we get ready to march down the track to line up for pregame, my right shoe becomes untied confused and I dropped one of my drumsticks during parade marching practice (thank god it wasn't the actual parade)
