Roan walked through the house quietly, walking right past the closed door without so much as a second glance, cody following behind him eventually, letting out a small yawn as he padded behind roan. "Ne, so the doggy is awake? You know youve been sleeping so much lately cody" he said smirking as he laughed at the dog a little bit.

Cody glaring was hillarious, roan thinking the look more comical than angry "If your bed was less comphy id sleep on it less....I hope one day you develop alergys to my fur and get sick" he said his tail wagging playfuly "Besides im seven! You cant expect me to be as active as I was, not the way your feeding me" he said smiling as he followed roan to the front door.

"Yes well cody-kun, im going to work off all of that food by taking you for a walk" the man said cheerily, roan looked a little older, his hair longer and a few barely noticeable worry lines on his face. Cody was still as big as ever, fluffy orange and wolflike looking, though you could tell the dog had aged, if you ran your hands through his fur you could even find scars there, though they were small ones.

Roan opened the door to the house starting to walk out and glancing at the dog "Should we go see tohru maybe?" he asked noticing cody glance back over his shoulder. "....maybe we should check on him....see if hes woken up..." the dog said quietly, wanting to turn back into the hall to look at the door.

Roan just shook his head "Cody-kun, ne, doggy friend of mine..if he wakes up, im sure well know..." he said, never being able to bring himself to telling cody that the boy in the room would never wake up, he and the dog still hadnt grasped the fact that their friend was dead, the two of them mostly refusing to even speak of it, just carrying on as though the boy were taking a really long nap.

Cody gave roan a look, roan shaking his head and smiling at the dog "Later, when we come back cody, I promise ne? Thats okay right" he said scratching at the dogs ears "Ill even make you a treat hmm, im sure youll love it!" he said happily, cody sighing.

"Roan, sometimes I wish you couldnt cook so well" the dog said laughing, stepping outside with the man. "Cody-kun! I didnt think dogs could tell a lie" he said smirking "Then again, youve surpised me many times" he said as the two started off.
