Well, I had my son Friday after noon and we brought him home Saturday afternoon =D
Unfortunately, the happiness and joy of bringing Aaron home comes with great sadness. The first animal Mike and I bought together, Dusty, has died. We noticed early Sunday morning. I started bawling, I loved my little baby. Almost as soon as Aaron was born, I said "Now I can hold Dusty and Daisy again!" Daisy was my rat that I gave to my Godmother when I moved.
I'm very upset, as is Mike, but we're both looking at it in the best way. While we lose a life, we gain one. It's sad that he had to leave us but at least he had a great life and almost made it to two years old.
We're going to creamate him this week.

Thanks =D
I've got to call the vet in about an hour to see about creamation. Mike promised last year we could when Dusty and Thumper went.
Seems weird...he's always been there and now he isn't. I'm going to miss my little chubby gerbil.

Thanks, everyone.
We ended up not being able to creamate him. It's very expensive if you want to keep the ashes(which we did).
So, we buried him. In a lovely place not too far from home. That way we can still visit him smile
I don't understand how it's at least $100 for indvidual creamation here but it was less than $50 in Milwaukee for our ferret >.<

I am sorry about the cremation. I do not understand how they can charge so much. However, I am so happy for your new baby. Truly a doll!
