well they always did say it was a 10 year system, so they really did put quality into the system it seems. GO SONY GO!

yes that's quite amazing! i hope mine lasts a long time... most electronics i've had only last about 4 years of hard use, so i hope by that time the PS3 is much cheaper lol.

Well how long has the PS2 been out on the market?
I know on a forum, somoene actually said that no first gen PS2's were still working about a year ago. I laughed and posted that he might want to double check, my bro has had a PS2 since day one, its never given him an issue and it went through a fair bit. Litterally days of near-non-stop playing, etc. Given that, Id say that the PS3s have a really good chance of lasting a really long time.

Well PS most of the time was a quality console and that's a good thing.
