I've been trying to find an artist that I like to do some work, but most of the ones I've found are ridiculously overpriced for lackluster work. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good artist? I'm looking to spend no more than 10,000g, but I tip fairly if the work is great.
So, any suggestions?

Where have you been looking? The art arena or the art forums?

mostly the art forums. Looking at what work artists have done so far, checking out their coloring and shading techniques, you know, looking at the quality of what they can do. So far, no go. I remember when lunashock was active, she gave me the contact for an amazing artist, but I lost that post a long time ago.
It's weird, I know what I want to see and how it should work, but I worry too much about an artist putting effort into it and not looking like what I want it to be. I'm kinda paranoid like that.

have you scanned our art subforum? We have some very talented people in the guild (chibi and emily are two such folks). I'm not sure what style you're looking for, but it may be a good resource.

What kind of commission are you interested in?..If you like, I can work on it for you and you can decide on the price yourself depending on what it is..pm me and I can show you some old art of mine if you are interested 3nodding ...I can make animations and plain ol' pencil and ink pretty well, and color with pencils or CG (but I'm still a beginner with computer art)
