Calamity from the Heavens

...just to say that for some reason recently my inspiration has dried up. I'll still be on Gaia, but I'm going to take a week off roleplaying. "So what?" I hear you say... "She's keep vanishing anyway!". Yeah... I'm sorry about that, but I should be better after this week.
Well... Depression + a Mother who loves spending time on the computer during the day and had the last week off work + the (increasingly panicky) need to clean the house from top to bottom to stop my asthma stopping my sleep which makes me cranky and unable to communicate.
...run on sentence of the year. Basically, I have three excuses:-
* Lack of Sleep due to Asthma problems due to the fact that my bedroom window was sealed shut by idiots who were meant to weatherproof it (stop the cold getting in), and my dehumidifier is dead and I have a lot of old stuff that I need to get rid of and I've run out of my inhaler and can't get a new one yet. Because of this, I need to spend a lot of time tidying up and taking care of household stuff and possibly breaking the window if it gets too bothersome (pigeons and cold be damned XP). * Depression (not serious, and it's passing) * My mother (whenever she's not at work) likes to be on the computer most of the day.
So... I'll be on Gaia, I'll even be on here, but I won't be roleplaying for the next week unless my creativity comes back, which it probably will just because I've posted this. :XP Sorry about that, people I'm RPing with. Psycho, if you read this, I won't be joining your guild today either, but I will be joining it. I dunno if those invites run out, but if it does during the next week, please resend it.

You take all the time you need, Cala-dear. Your role plays will be here when you return. If anyone has problems with that... -wags rolled up newspaper threateningly- I'm glad that you're overcoming your depression, and hopefully your mom will share every now and then, too. x3 Asthma is stinky. A friend of mine has it, but I don't think it's as bad as it used to be.

I agree with Ari-dear. Please do take your time, I can totally sympathize. I have both depression and asthma, and parents that sound like yours. Except that I have my own laptop now, so Ma can't take it.
A couple things that might help with asthma : 1. New inhaler = vital. 2. Take vitamins. 3. Sleep in a room with no carpet on the floor. Wood and tile, preferrably. 4. Open windows don't necessarily help : they sometimes let in allergies. 5. Go for a walk every now and then someplace that doesn't have a lot of smog, and not a lot of plants/pets/anything you might be allergic to. Getting outdoors in the sun with fresh air helps a lot. 6. Stress and exercise can sometimes actually cause asthma problems. Getting time away from things that stress you out [Gaia sometimes] can help. Try not to rush around cleaning everything, since this is physical strain and can be bad.
As a child, I used to have really bad asthma. It got so bad, I had pneumonia at one point and had to stay in the hospital. Luckily, my mom used to be a nurse, so she helped me a lot. Since we moved and got rid of a lot of things I was allergic to, I rarely have any trouble anymore. Plus my bedroom has hard wood floors [uncomfortable sometimes, but it helps]. That, and we clean everything that I sleep with [sheets, pillow cases, blankets, stuffed animals (I sleep with four, I'll have you know Dx)].
I hope some of this can help, and that you feel better.
As for depression... I can't really tackle that myself sometimes. All I can say for that is try to be alone as little as possible, and do things that you enjoy doing if you can. Don't hesitate to talk to people about it, they can help probably more than I can.
But don't feel like you're alone, if you ever do. 'kay?
<3.

Aw... you're all sweeeet... I love you all. Thank you for being so forgiving!
Sadly, I have only one internet connection, so I can't use the laptop to get on Gaia.
Wingles, thanks a ton. I'll try your suggestions. Sadly, I am alone nearly 23 hours out of the day during mama's "late days", because mama goes to bed less than an hour after she comes home sometimes.
...there's a place in england that doesn't have plants, pets or smog? I'm afraid I'd have to go to outer space for that...
Stress does seem to be my problem lately. I keep having panic attacks. Thanks for the suggestions. Mama says I can't take the carpets up, but once we move (they're moving us within the next two years because they're renovating the flats) I'm going to ask her if I can go without carpets in my room.
I often feel alone, sadly.
Thank you, Kitty. ^_^ My mama will share... when she's at work. Or in bed.
Psycho... *huggles* Thank youuuu.
And thanks to the other two people who voted that they wouldn't beat me up for not roleplaying.

We love you too, Cala <3 And we want you to be all right.
I hope things clear up soon, and I'm sorry you end up feeling alone a lot. -huggles-
I hope you're getting you're sleep too, as much as that's possible. It's important when you're feeling out of sorts. >o<

I usually get about four/five hours of sleep... up from my previous two. It's been catching up on me, though. I'm tired all day, which is mostly why I felt irritable about Gaia. But somehow, that week cleared my head, and I don't feel like it's going to bite me any more! <3

Hrm. Well, I suppose that is better. It is good that nothing is going to bite you, I'm sure that would be awful nasty. =x

*emits high-pitched squeal of happiness*
My psycho estranged sister isn't psycho anymore and she's talking to me again! After a long, long time! Oh, today's been so happy I could cry... and have done... for joy!
Biting is cool... sometimes. Vampire bites are erotic, zombie bites are fun to watch, radioactive spider bites give you superpowers, and humans just look totally silly when they bite people.

*stops gnawing on Clammy's leg* You're sis is talking to you again?! That's great! *hugs* I'm so happy for you dear! You'll have to tell me all about it next time we're IMing. <3
Vampire bites are erotic, yesh, but... well, I suppose the others are right. I've never seen a zombie bite O.o

So you've never played any zombie-based games, or watched any zombie-based movies? Zombies just sorta gnaw at you. Latch onto you like a leech and suck, if you're playing the first three Resident Evils, but generally just bite and gnaw. It's comical to look at.
I know! It's awesome! *hugs back* And I did. XD

No. Scary things and Rosie do not mix D: We (bunch of friends and I) rented Disturbia this evening. Ahahaha ... I hid in my sweater.
You did indeed. Wild! XD
