Okay, Hi my name is Amber and I've been in this guild for... awhile but, mostly I just lurk. Today though, I just had to post here and share my excitement with some people who might actually be interested. A while ago I started volunteering at a museum (don't leave yet I promise this gets interesting) my sister was interning at this museum and since they were short handed she had me come help and I loooooove it! The place was beautiful, picturesque, it consisted of houses from the 1800's that were now used as a museum so, I started going there more and more. My sister thought it was silly for me just to be there to volunteering (since her and a couple others were interning there she thought I could somehow use it for my school and my cyber school is very flexible about stuff like that) So we decided that I could do an exhibit there and make that my senior project. I decided that an exhibit on tea (how they grew it, if they used it for medicine and mostly the etiquette) so my sister talked to the museum president who had this to say "why not make a tea party instead?" (see told you it got interesting) Can you believe it? I get to hold a tea party in an museum, all about the way people had tea in the 1800's (now this will be tea in America but still) If everything works out (I still have to talk to my school, talk to the museum board all kinds of stuff,) but if everything goes the way I plan I'll purchase one antique tea set (or use one of the museums) and get to make all kinds of old recipes, and even make costumes to wear, I'm soooooo excited!!!
Okay, sorry about ranting and sorry about my poor grammar, but I was just sooo excited about this and since I know no Lolita’s in real life everyone I told didn't really care crying oh well, I'm sooo happy about this and I hope I haven't bored you guys too much ^^;;.
Edit: sorry, if I put this post in the wrong place... I think it's okay here... I hope so atleast ^^;

Aw man, I wish I could do something like that too! I wonder what my senior project would be....if I had to do something like that, I'd take on the chance! ^_^ Good luck!

That is so incredible! I would love to be able to do a senior project like that!
I know last year at my school some girl sorted and fixed a lot of Victorian clothes at our Heritage Museum (I was jealous of that too) but all I did for mine was a stupid guidebook thing...
Speaking of which, I'd better go finish it... 0_0
