I'm looking at going to gencon indy (hopefully if I can get a badge at the door) and was wondering if anybody had been or is going and if so could they give me some advice or maybe just have a chat about it. This is my first convention and I'm excited!

Yup, have fun and plan ahead. Your best bet is to get there a day early grab a catalog for the events, and register early for everything you want to go to. bring lots of cash but keep an eye on it, and try to get into a hotel close to the convention center. The shuttles are a pain. sweatdrop

Don't be afraid to try games from smaller companies, sometimes they are the best, and its worth visiting the Kenzer Co. booth if your KoDT reader. Only attend panels that interest you.

I wish gaia had a booth there that would be awesome, but I think I'm going to have a good enough time looking at all the anime booths and the magic the gathering stuff.

Remember to register for any event featuring Gary Gygax. It oughta be good.
