Well, no newsletters in a while, so I, founder and senior crew member Blessed Blade will fill in for the gap in this new year 2009.

The guild has been pretty sleepy, but some members (including myself) have begun the process of getting people in here, which will hopefully be the beginning of exponential growth. We've been PMing friends and trolling the forums for new members. Black Vine has started a raffle, we've been making some aesthetics changes, and I've been talking with the other crew members about getting a new banner inked and colored.

But there's a long way to go, especially with so many of the older members balancing real life commitments with Gaia. So we hope everyone pitches in and uses the invitation thread and posts.

Speaking of that, I've decided to implement new 'unwritten rules', and write those unwritten rules in this newsletter.

Written Unwritten Rules

-Use the invite thread: You have friends, share the love
-Proper spelling, capitalization and punctuation: not gonna be mean about this one, just remind people that this is a Written Unwritten Rule
-Meaningless Threads to a minimum: not gonna be mean about this one either, but this has been the standard for a while

I may be going beyond my pay grade with these rules (and maybe going beyond my pay grade to even update the newsletter) but whatever. Everything I say is subject to review and change. I just want everyone to have a good time. 3nodding

I would just like to update everyone on the status of the guild and review the Anniversary Ball.
The Ball went...well, I say well because as a whole everyone who came seemed to enjoy themselves and we've gained some very friendly new members. However, it wasn't really up to par with what I and some of the other moderators were really hoping for. Now I will take some of the blame for this, most of our regular members seemed to have not been very well informed on all the happenings of the party such as times, dates, and when invitations were released. Those are all things that I could and should have worked harder on for all of you. On the other hand, there was an utter lack of our regular members there. Now then, I understand that we all have busy lives, but the truth of the matter is that most no-staff members that did come didn't make even five posts. While some of that is because of bad information, I still find it a bit sadning that we couldn't get at least five posts. On another note, other than those issues the party did seem to work out well. The people that were there had fun and there was a lot of excitment built up from the games. One of the game threads actually ended up with the most posts on it, which has never happened before. So because this party was so back and forth on it's good parts and its not so good ones, the moderators and I will be comparing this party with our previous ones and are going to do all that we can to make next years even better!

Now then, for the update on the guild. As some of you have probably seen, Blessed Blade has been going around and updating certain parts of the guild and working on a new intro image. I would like to thank him for that help along with helping fund the party. While doing these things, we have also discussed the status of the guild. Seeing as most of our lives are very busy and only getting more busy as time goes on, I have decided to start searching for a new moderator to help with the guild. We are looking for someone who is honestly and actively interested in seeing this guild prosper and regain its former glory. So over the next couple of months we will be seeing which members have the time and drive to help push this guild to new heights. However, even if you feel you don't have time to be a moderator but would just like to help the guild out as best you can, then please do help! The easiest way is to request users to be invited, suggest the guild to friends yourself, or even post even if no one else is. And by the way, this posting issue can be one of the largest, because if a bunch of people come in here, see that no theads are jumping orange, and decide not to post, then no one ends up posting and all the threads just lie there and do nothing. Furthermore, as some of you should know, our current goal is to get fifty members in here at any given time, which considering there are well over fourty thousand gaians on at any moment, it's not a whole lot. But please, keep all these things in mind and the more people we have in here the more fun this place will be, so we'll accept all the help we can get in reaching this goal. Also, if you've read this far, thank you. I know this update has been long, but hopefully it's been helpful, informative, and inspiring.

As most of you probably noticed, there have been some changes around the guild in the past couple months. There have been a couple new changes to the guild staff, The Noble Protoman.exe has been changed from
mod to member, and Alamoria has been promoted to take Protoman's place. Hopefully he bring some added help to the guild. Another major change is Neitsabes' switch to Vice Captian, while I am taking the Captian postition once more. I hope that these changes will allow the guild to grow over the summer with everyone's help. On behalf of all the moderators, I would like to thank all the members for their continued support, and we hope that you will all be willing to help us in our quest to rebuild the guild. Please look out for more announcements to come.

As you may have noticed we gained a new sub-forum! The new "Discuss About Anything!" sub-forum is for just that, discussing anything. We've noticed that a lot of guilds have at least a special area for pure random discussion, and that there a number of you that like to be random. So we've created this new sub-forum to give you a place to do that without getting your thread deleted! So feel free to go crazy (to some extent) and check out the new forum. Also, don't forget to stop by our other sub-forums like the: Guild Feedback, Game Zone, and the Good 'ol Times.

Well the party's over, sorry if you missed it. It was one of the smallest Anniversary parties we've had, but it was still good fun. Though it may have been short lived I think it provided our new captian with some experience, and that we will all be prepared for our next big bash. I hope to see you all at our next party.

Alright everybody, I know we've made a lot of Newsletters that were seperate, but I thought it would be easier to find old info if we just had one that we updated. From now on this will be our only newsletter thread, so please keep a look out for new updates. Everytime we update, we will change the date at the top so you'll know if it's new or not. Hopefully this will make it easier on everyone and keep you all informed.

Now then, as you all probably know the lattest news is our new Captian Neitsabes. This is a big change for the guild, and we all hope he does us proud but there is more news besides that! The Guild Feedback Forum has been used!! This is a bit late on informing you all since it happened a couple months ago, but that means there are some people that are trying to help this guild grow. So please, give us your suggestions in the Guild Feedback forum.

Our top story for this month is.....The Hangout Guild's 3rd Anniversary Ball!
The big event is comming up in a couple weeks, and we're hopeing that this years ball will be bigger and better than ever! On July 26th we will once again be opening up the guild to everyone for one fantastic party. We hope to get the invites in a usable form for you a week in advance, so you can have a chance to tell all your friends. To get everyone in the mood for the ball we will be posting the old signature banners in here so you can show your guild pride everywhere you go. So please keep watching this thread for more updates on the ball and the invites, which will be posted here, and to see what other news is going on in your guild.
