Hi everyone!
My name is Melissa but everyone calls me Lissi. I'm 26 and will be 27 in September. I live in Palmdale, which is located in the Mojave Desert. Summer in the desert isn't fun, so I usually stay in my nice and cool room and surf the net.
I'm an avid reader, a writer, I like cooking, baking, video games, movies, Harry Potter, the new Star Wars trilogy, web design, graphic design, blogging, journals, and so much more.
I'm an eclectic Pagan but am open and nonjudgmental to everyone's beliefs and hope that I can be accepted by everyone else =)
And that's me in a nutshell.
-- Lissi

Thank you for the welcome =)
It's strange, normally I hate posting intro's and can never decide what to say. This time I didn't have any issues!
Anyway, looking forward to being on here a lot and am thrilled that I was accepted =)

I read mostly fiction. My favorite authors are Christopher Pike, Jodi Picoult, James Patterson (when he writes his own books), Jackie Collins (gotta love Lucky), Francesca Lia Block, Cate Tiernan, Judy Blume, Laurell K Hamilton, V.C. Andrews, Mary Higgins Clark to name some.
I like a lot of mysteries, faerie tales, light fantasy, light sci-fi and lots of Young Adult. A lot of Young Adult books now are fabulously written (like FLB and Sarah Dessen). Plus I want to be a YA author so I gotta keep on top lol

Hello and welcome. I too love young adult books, many times they just have more interesting charecters and plot developement and tend to be much more creative (and emotional). Good luck with your ambition!

Welcome aboard. biggrin
And I'm excited to have you aboard, one of my former roommates was pagan (though she was suspiciously listening to Christian rock a lot...). Another view point and belief system is always a welcome change of pace. And if anyone gives you crap, tell me and I'll bop 'em over the head for you [that's why avatars can get fun clubs!]

Aw, thank you! I don't really see it being a problem so far! Yay! Although my own tends to tease me about it. My family is Jewish. I love my heritage but don't really follow the beliefs. And she's constantly teasing me about how I wanted hebrew lessons as a kid and wanted a Bat Mitzvah. Ahh. Moms.

Welcome to the family. We're glad to have you here! Hope you enjoy the guild and make some new friends as well.
And the mojave isn't that bad, once you get used to the 120 degree heat of course... sweatdrop

Yeah, that's the problem lol.
I should be used to it. My family moved here when I was 9. But I escaped the dreaded heat for almost 7 years when I moved to San Diego. And somehow, I ended up back in the AV.
