During the 1940's the British gave the Jews many parts of Palestine (now modern day Israel). During this time the Israelis started to take away some of the Palestinians land. They carried on invading land right up to the 1960's when they invaded the whole of the Sinai in Egypt (and the Gaza Strip which did belong to Egypt), Golan Heights in Syria and parts of Jordan. It wasn't until the 6th October 1973 that Egypt attacked the Israelis in the Sinai and Syria in the Golan Heights. It was a success but when Israel rounded up their troops Syria and Egypt failed.
Because of this war alot of the Arabs now don't like the British for giving the Jews a home in Palestine and the Americans for helping Israel keep control over the Golan Heights and Sinai (Egypt was given back the Sinai in 197
cool . What are your views on this?
In my opinion because of the flood of tourism going to Egypt (espcially along the Nile and in some parts of the Sinai) I think that the Egyptians are slowly forgiving us, seeing that we are giving the country alot of money through tourism. Israel, on the other hand, probably still like USA for their help.
