I'm pretty excited.
In March were the New England Scholastic Band Association Winter Guard and Percussion Ensembles Championship, and we kicked a**.
Really, we came in first for our division with an 89.something or other and our school's Winter Guard got first in their division also, which makes us the first school in the thirty years of this competition's existance to do it.
They gave us medals and our school got a $500 gift certificate to Vic Firth.
I thought it was cool because we were probably the least funded of all the ensembles.
We wore our concert band uniforms and had no props, shitty instruments, and played classical music. cool
The school gave us jackets and a banner that goes in the gym too.
