Should I just post rough sketches here for you to critique? I'm sorry, I have no idea how this works... I have a rough sketch, but it looks... well, it looks terrible. I'll see if I can fix it by later today.

you can post whatever you're working on here - or just link me to a mentee thread if you have one set up in the other forum... or just ask me for general advice or help on something smile ...

@Pomato Soup:
:3~ I've finally had some time to take a look at your gallery~
Generally: Lighting - really keep in mind where your light source is coming from. Remember that light is for most purposes... linear. It helps sometimes to think of it coming in as streaks and getting blocked off by different things (lol I don't know if that made any sense) And once it's blocked off by something, that streak won't hit the next object... Or like rain - if you've got an umbrella, the rain hits your umbrella instead of your head x)...
More specifically So for example in this picture: http://pomato-soup.deviantart.com/art/Friendlier-Days-72846075 The sun looks like it's behind them, but they look more frontally lighted. Then there's some inconsistencies with lighting - her hair on her neck, his hand, shirt collar should all be casting more shadows on the surrounding areas.
I really like the eye contact they're making with the viewer - remember that eyeballs are spheres and thus also have 'lighter' and 'darker' areas!
It's also great that you've worked in character interaction whee I've found that really hard to do myself.
In this picture: http://pomato-soup.deviantart.com/art/Antigone-Pose-Study-50511834 Her balance looks kinda awkward because usually when people stand with one leg up like that, they put all their weight on the other leg, so it should be straighter - which also then translates into differing hip heights :3~ (just try standing like that and you'll see what I mean) Really cute look she's giving me though XD~
I see some good stuff though! Keep up the good work and don't hesitate to PM me or post WIP's or ask for anything else x)~
