A monster eyes me. Then the teeth rip my flesh off. Puppies stink.

I've never been much of a poetry person, but I was forced to write a haiku for this project in some Japanese class and I think it turned out well-
大通寺、晩に菊にも、影がある
(At Daitsuji, in the evening even on the chrysanthemums, there is a shadow)
Sounds not as good in English. wink Daitsuji is this temple I went to once where they had a chrysanthemum festival, in fall. It was very pretty and memorable so I wrote the haiku about it. (chrysanthemum is the kigo- I'm such a stickler for kigo!)
