Hm...my sactuary is my room, my church, and a park that nearby the school that I used to go to. Its really quiet too, so its also nice to just sit in those places and gather my thoughts.

My sanctuary is the arms of a story. It allows me to throw my reality away and live another life. At times the stories are of my own creation, while at others they are experienced through books.

Mine is the downstairs bathroom.
I'll just grab a book or a notebook and sit on the floor.
I think cause I know its the only room in the house that my parents won't barg into.

when I'm all alone I like to hide out in my room with a pile of stuffed animals, some corny pulp fiction, my boyfriend and a sketch book.

When I just want to get away, I escape in my drawings, or a book. Reading or drawing distracts my mind and relaxes me so to speak, it's kinda like my sanctuary.

gothkid82 Do you any of you have a location, possibly in your own home town that you would consider your own personal place of refuge? There just at the end of the lane I live on where I go to write, read the bible, pray, and just get away from the problems I'm facing in life. I often walk there ever full moon, around midnight, just to be alone and recharge from a stressful 30 days. Here's a video of my own sanctuary: Hooray for YouTube!I love your signature...

my room. its the only room in the house that i have to reflect who i am so i love being in there all the time or my bathroom just soaking in the tub while reading a really great book.

I keep a journal. I write in it all of the thoughts that I keep to myself in symbolic, coded form.
That is my sanctuary.

My sanctuary is in the presence of my most trusted friends....I feel a lot better and can talk about my problems without thinking I'm going insane because I'm talking to myself about my problems.

Well my altar is in my study.
There's a window right next to it so when it's thundering or raining I open it for the full experience.
I used to have an outside little place but then we moved. confused
