Giftart vs. art for yourself

Well this forum seems to be taking a little sleep at the moment, but in case anyone is still haunting it, I thought it'd be interesting to examining the notorious difference between giftart for others and art you do for yourself.

A while back I did a picture for my cousin's gaia account and seeing it later, I felt SO. DAMN. BAD. because it really kinda sucked. I just didn't put the effort into it. So I tried to be a little better about art I do for people, insofar as, you know...doing it WELL.

I collect stuff related to Alice / Lewis Carroll, so it's right up my alley. It's awesome...! I really like it. I draw a lot of Alice stuff but I'm not very talented. Some time I would like to illustrate my own copy of the book(s), though.

I'm glad you like that one! He was fun to do because I to really like Alice in Wonderland stuff. My fave is the Cheshire Cat, but the Hatter...he'd pretty awesome as well XD

Those are wonderful. I wish i had that kind of talent. I started drawing when I was younger, and found I was better with words.
