Ok, I got this idea in my head for a story. The main character is a Bard, and the other main character is a woman who dresses as a man, as she doesn't want to live the life of a lady, rather as a gentleman. As per the society, that's going to be the cause of many rifts.

I'm thinking of placing it in Elizabethian times, as that's normally a good era in regards to culture and literary abilities, such as Shake-spear.

Does anyone have any pointers/links on which cuture I should use, type of speech, mannars, stories, and the like?

Reading Shakespeare may or may not help you.

Sir Edmund Spenser's The Faerie Queene might help you out better.
