Are there any yukata (summer time type of cheap kimono) lovers here? I own five, one of which came from an 80 year old kimono shop in Kyoto. I love these things so much and wear them to Obon. I will end up having to make my next one cuz its the next level in my excitement. =)
Shall i post a pic of the Kyoto one?

i bought fabric and a pattern for a kimono, my mom just has to sew it. (i can't sew! crying my moms going to teach me.)

1koza ...where did you find a pattern for your kimono/yukata? Please tell me! I want to make my own too! you can find a pattern at almost any craft/fabric store. The pattern should be very easy. (the only dificult thing might be the obi)

oh, the obi (sash/belt worn around the tummy) will be no prob. i own three of them.
