Who recruited you?: Dragostae

Name: Edith "Edie" Delaney
Age: 32
Gender: Female/Straight
Height: 5 ft. 7 inches
Weight: 140 pds

Race: Human
Social Class: Aristocrat

Appearance: Edie stands at 5 ft 7 inches. She has long black hair, but with the use of some of the newest dyes around, she changes it to a sort of dark red color, which is not appropriate in most settings. For the most part, her hair is up and it is black. Only on special occasions does she use the dye. Her skin is an olive color and her eyes are brown. Edie is completely covered in jewlery and make-up, which hide some not so noticable features. Those not so noticeable features include blemishes and discolorations. For the most part, Edie wears what most women of wealth wear, elegant gowns, hats and the occasional matching umbrella. However, when she is not around those of high society, she wears pants, or bloopers, seeing as they are new on the market and are much more comfortable.

Personality: Edie is a no-nonsense woman. She has personally chosen not to marry, and shuns all forms of Victorian life, for the most part. She loves thinking on her own accord. Her loud mouth has gotten her in trouble with the law several times. She's also a rather sociable person, chosing to attend all the important people's social functions. Rarely is Edie seen around men of wealth, as they remind her of her father and all that she can't stand. Most men seem intimidated by her, which suits her fine. Even after inheriting her father's riches, her attititude towards men like her father, still remained the same. She is, and will always be a loud mouth. Most people who know her have just grown accustomed to this and pay it no mind, while others are disgusted with her.

Character flaws: Edie's major flaw is her attitude and outlook on life. Either it's the "I'm better than you" attitude or she's just plain against conformity period. For the most part, she refuses to change her ways.

Background: Edith "Edie" Delaney was born to weathy parents in Manchester, England. Her father, Sir Peter Delaney owned a factory and her mother, Dame Judith Delaney did not work. She didn't need to. When Edie was born, she was the first girl for the family, with three sons already around.

Sir Peter adored his daughter, while her mother was rather cold and uncaring. Her father took her to his factory all the time. Little did he know that his daughter woudl grow up to detest men like her father. Her childhood was just like anyone elses with money. Her mother hired a governess to teach all her children. The Delaney's were an aristocratic family, with ties to the royal family. She was taught by the governess from age 4 to age 10.

Controversy erupted when Edie turned 16. Her parents had arranged for their daughter to marry one of the princes. Edie, not liking this idea, refused. She drove her mother to a heart attack and her father disowned her.

Now left on her own, she decided to enter the field of teaching, knowing that in the process, she might able to help some lost souls. She turned down several offers of marriage, citing "wanting to remain human" as the reason. Edie might have been disowned by her father, but she later found out that he had left all his fortunes to her.

With this money, she could have easily lived an easy life. She traveled the world, wanting to explore new and exciting things. Queen Victoria, who once condemed Edie, now made her an ambassador. Edie was hired to teach the children of an Indian aristocrat. Before leaving, she recieved a letter from a Headmistress.

Edie decided not to go to India right away, and felt that she needed to help the students of England first. She is eagerly looking forward to her new job.

Skills: Edie doesn't have many skills, but she does possess a great deal of knowledge in English literature

Classes: English

Character secrets: She actually considered marrying one of the Queen's sons.

Anything else? She is fluent in french, german, and spainsh

With two suitcases in both of her hands, Edie walked into what would be her living quarters and looked around. She dropped her bags on the ground and went straight to her bed. She frowned, as it wasn't what she was accustomed to. It was rather small compared to the beds she had been sleeping in-in the past. However, she knew that she was going to have to ignore all of that and put on a new face. She chose to be here and she planned on making the most out of this situation.

While sitting on her bed, she asked out loud, "I wonder where the other teachers are?" She had only before met the Headmistress. In that time, she had yet to come across any of her future colleagues. A smile appeared on her face. That's probably a good thing. She thought to herself.
