"Ah well, forgive me, then." It was rather hard to tell whether or not Messiah was genuinely about being apologetic about misjudging his control of his emotions. Since the woman never said sorry to anyone, let alone someone from the forest, her sincerity was unlikely. She said no more on the matter, however, though was undoubtedly a tad disturbed by the images that she had witnessed. It didn't take a genius to realize who the female had been, as well as just what had happened. Gabriel obviously hadn't been the one to bestow such a horrid fate of his former captive, due to the anger that had radiated from him, but Jezra had indeed died by the hands of the other members.

Pulling the material around her front, tugging just slightly to keep it tight, she handed it back to him before scoffing. "Oh but of course. Can you imagine anyone resisting my oh-so-wonderful charisma? I've been told it's quite alluring, you know." The fighter retorted lightly with a smirk completely at ease with their humorous banter. She was about to protest against his secrecy by pointing out that she did have her ways of gaining information that wasn't willingly given, but any back talk was conveniently pushed aside when she felt his breath on her neck. Making it a point to ignore the small tremor that had coursed through her in reaction, Messiah replied with a witty drawl, allowing her amusement to show. "Your mark, huh? Now that must be enjoyable to receive. For the record, dearest, I have the tendency to bite back."

Feeling her shudder with some level of satisfaction, Gabriel pulled his head back, letting one of the two pearly white elongated canines slide over Messiah's skin. Running his tongue over his teeth, the vampire took the bandage once again, wrapping it over the other and pressing it down to hold it. He honestly hadn't meant to be threatening, though, just wanting to observe his captive's reaction. Of course, she'd acted as cooll as always, but he'd felt her shudder, and he was happy about it. 'At least I know she's part human.'

Holding out the shrinking end of the bandage, the seemingly young man chuckled slightly. "Bite me back, eh? I'm afraid I'd find that either enjoyable, or quite pointless, depending on where." he said calmly, any traces of anger or malice gone from his tone. "But I don't think you'll be recieving my mark. You're a bit too full of yourself when it comes to talking about your charm." The Vampire's voice was dreadfully sarcastic, though held a humoring note to it.

Messiah found the fact that she had reacted to his antics utterly degrading. A great majority of the people in her position would have done the same, the more sensitive types perhaps even loosing their cool completely. However, what everyone else would do had never mattered to the woman and that stilled applied right than. Did she really have the right to even possess such humans traits? The woman was a mutant of sorts after all, gifted with the art of language. She was human, but having the mind of one simply wasn't an option. Thinking as if she weren't even of the real world was her fate, acting as a demon who's only concern was that of her own serenity. Deciding to forgive herself for her small slip up just this once, Messiah stubbornly refused her body's momentary desire to flinch when she felt one of Gabriel's sharp fangs grazing her skin. Damn, I'm not used to anyone being close enough to even joke about biting me.

"You'd enjoy it, huh? What a pity. Well, we all have our faults. I must say, though, I'm terribly disappointed that you won't be biting me. No, really! Receiving the mark of a vampire captor is something I've always wanted." She proclaimed sarcastically, a soft chuckle revealing how humorous she was finding their banter. Settling the bandage across her chest comfortably, she handed the strip back to him one last time.

Smiling idly at her own sarcasm, Gabriel took the bandage from her, unraveling it slightly more before tearing it off. Tossing the small roll back into the little chest, the seemingly young man slipped the end of the cloth through the others, pulling it around and tight before tieing it off on another strand. Sliding himself back, his bandaging complete, the vampire nodded, speaking as calmly as ever. "That's the best I can do, for now." Ignoring her comment about his mark, he settled back against a tent pole, assuming she'd slip on her shirt as soon as she could.

Watching her curiously, the man closed the chest after replacing the liquid, stowing it next to him before leaning back again. "Before you inquire as to why I'm not re-attatching you to the tree...I don't really see a need to. There's no way you can get out, and I doubt you'd try something so foolish as it is." Running pale fingers through his long tresses, the Vampire smirked slightly. "You're an interesting one, I'll give you that..."

"Desperate times call for desperate measures, as they say. Even the most intelligent humans can act a bit.. Risky, when they're running out of time. As for being interesting... Well, this thing would be rather boring if I were conventional." With those murmured words, the woman got steadily to her feet, slipping on her shirt as she did so. Tugging lightly at the clinging material until she was satisfied at how it fit her, she strode purposely towards the tent's entrance. Lifting the flap, she peered outside keenly, allowing her gaze to sweep across her surroundings. Based on the thickness of the forestry around them, she assumed that the camp was located a bit deeper in the forest than where she and Gabriel had fought. Due to her previously unconscious state, she hadn't gotten the chance to try and determine just where she was, nor the camp's setting, so she figured she'd go ahead and so do now. There are definitely too many people around for me to sneak off quietly.. I'm certain that I could take down quite a few of them even in my current state of health, but even if I kill many, the amount of them would still give me trouble. I could use stealth, but someone's bound to notice my presence, or lack there of. No doubt Gabriel.

Messiah sighed softly in exasperation. It would seem that getting back home relatively soon was of a slim chance. Stormy blue eyes narrowed slightly when she noticed that many of the forest dwellers seemed to be preparing for a battle of some sort, heightening her suspicions until she was clenching her fists tightly, her nails digging into her palms. "I see. So there had been a reason for you to be so close to the village." Messiah whispered, thoughts trailing on what would happen should they actually be planning to attack her home. Taking in some of the fighter's appearances, she quickly memorized a general list of weaknesses and strengths, evaluating them closely.

The teenager contemplated what her success rate would be if she simply ran out of the tent right then, wondering absently whether or not her injuries had hindered her usual speed too significantly. Deciding against it as soon as her gaze rested on Avio, whom she hadn't noticed until just then, Messiah glowered. "Damnit." She observed the man careful for a moment before scoffing, no doubt noticing how his attention had been on the tent. "Gabriel, you seem to have a visitor." Messiah stated, turning her back on the exit and making her way back inside the tent's interior once more, her expression a mixture of annoyance and contempt at both the village's potential danger and her own situation.

Calculating eyes followed the young woman's movements, keeping a steady gaze as she aproached and opened the tent flap to peer about. Despite the Vampire's appeared tranquility and relaxation, he was ready to move at a moment's notice in the event that Messiah decided to make a foolish decision. Though lips stayed quirked in the slightest of smiles, a slightly amused expression adorned the 'young' man's face while studying irises faded to a deep indigo. When she finally did make her way back towards him, or at least fully underneath the tent's canopy, pale lips parted finally to speak in the ever-present quiet tone.

"I was on a reconnaissance mission, of sorts. I suppose it was more volentary, but nevertheless, i was curious as to what meagre defenses the village had. As expected, I found nothing, save for a silly little girl with a sharp pole." he said with a pleasant smile, eyes flashing blue again at the mention of Avio. Letting the twin, cat-like pupils dilate and glaze over for a moment, Gabriel sent his mind out briefly.

"What is it, Avio? I caught all of the events besides your inquiry of me. What do you need?" Gabriel's mind echoed in Avio's head. "Oh, and please inform the camp that we'll be moving sooner than expected. Four hours. Have everyone ready in that time."

Coming back instantly to the present, but leaving his mind open for the other man's response, Gabriel once again focused his gaze on Messiah. Placing an elbow on each knee, now emerald irises steadied once again on the young woman before them, a pale chin resting on intertwined fingers thoughtfully. "Taken care of." he remarked carelessly, refering to his 'visitor' that she'd earlier spoken of. The Vampire decided against further speech, feeling more like letting his captive speak at the moment.

Had Messiah not been the as composed and dignified as she was, or at least claimed it be, she probably would have jumped at him for the partially indirect insult. However, she was indeed much more sophisticated than that, her sanity and pride acting like a life line for her. As fun as wringing the man's neck would have been, she'd just end up tied to that damned tree again, or something equally mortifying.

So, instead of resulting to violence, Messiah merely forced a stoic expression to linger over her features, intense gaze both calculating and full of displeasure. "This 'silly little girl' nearly kicked your a**, and would have done so if it weren't for those tedious little mind tricks of yours." She huffed, casting a brief glance at the tent's entrance, musing over his words. Gabriel certainly had an advantage, being able to communicate with his allies so easily through the mind. Even with her various resources and multilingual skills, Messiah couldn't guarantee that any assumptions she could possibly make about the telepathic conversations were correct.

"Believe what you will of the village, how they are viewed matters little to me. However, I advise you not to underestimate them, doing so will lead to unnecessary casualties.. On your side in particular." In actuality, Messiah had never been fond of her village-mates, preferring her own silent company over any friendly gestures and involvement. What good was human interaction with people who lacked the brain capacity to even comprehend her words? Of course, she could always leave, but that would be much too… Bothersome. She didn't like those in the forest any more than the villagers, perhaps even found them less tolerable, so remaining in the village was the most logical choice. Regardless of her less-than team friendly compassion towards her kin, Messiah still felt that defending the village was necessary. There was no way in hell she was going to let anyone claim that she did nothing for the town's honor.

"I suppose you've already guessed that I have every intention of stopping this little raid of yours? Or at least participate." She smirked lightly at him, making it mirthlessly obvious that she meant her words. Captive or not, the young woman wasn't going to figure out some way to help out her home. That was her duty, after all.

"It's...nothing Gabriel. I just wanted to tell you to kill me if I ever have thoughts like I've had now. The...emotions that I had a bit ago had controlled my actions. I must never let that happen again..." he began to trail off his thought, allowing another to enter, "I will accomplish your task for me. Four hours it is then."

With that final thought, Avio went off from tent to tent, telling the people to prepare what they can and what they needed in an instant and that they'd be leaving within four hour's time. Most of those that were told held an evil glare, piercing through Avio's own eyes. Avio had learned from mistakes in the past to not let these sorts confuse his judgement or else all chaos would result.

Once that particular mission had been completed, Avio sat down in his own little tent, constructed to a mere nothing except for earth. It was held together by a few strong logs for bases, each on the four corners of the tent, and other less strong, but still durable sticks and twine for the other bits, forming a near-perfect triangular shape. On the inside, there was too little space to move around much. All Avio's tent was designed for was a wind and rain resistant area in which to sleep in. A small fur cot lay upon the ground, not especially decorated by anything, though it still had a humble look about it.

"It's none of my business what Gabriel is doing,", Avio began to think on this event, recalling that voice in his head. He could not remember it before, so it would have had to be someone that lived on the outside. Like a few others that had lived here at this encampment, Avio had the talent to know about everyone by both looks and voice, though it wasn't anything complicated to not recognize a voice.

"Nearly kicked my a**? The only damage you managed to inflict upon me was a few minuscule scratches on my face and a little cut on my shoulder; which, by the way, is now completely gone." Gabriel's voice came smooth and calm, his facial expression never altering despite her aparent frustration and anger. "Besides, I only used my 'tedious mind tricks' once, though when I observed that it would only make it less fun for me, I ceased.

"And why protect those who you care so little for?" he ventured further, eyes fading from their original azure to swirl in the midst of crimson and crystal. Settling on a deep indigo, the Vampire smiled softly, a few silver strands of his silver tresses falling unnoticed by the side of his pale face. "Even if there are a few that have power to rival mine, there are still numerous simple humans in the village. As far as my observations go, there are fewer than fifty adept fighters in your little squad. Far too few to defend against our horde."

Despite Gabriel's seeming calm and confidence, he detested the idea of having to fight against such powerful enemies. As far as he knew, the council members, who were currently about the most powerful in the forest, were not going to be attending the war. Knowing all too well that the forest didn't have many more than fifty exceptional fighters, including Avio and himself, he shook his head resignedly. 'I suppose we'll just wait and see...Casualties will undoubtably be heavy on both sides, but I've no doubt that we'll come out victorious, but...What will be gained?' The thought was relatively new to him, and it suprised him at how little sense the war made now. Shaking it off, he turned his full attention back to Messiah.

Returning her light smirk, Gabriel shook his head once again, rising to his feet. "If you think you can 'stop this little raid' of mine, you're rather mistaken. Though we are leaving in a little under four hours, would you like a little tour of our humble encampment? It can get a little cramped in here, don't you agree?" In the back of his mind, the Vampire argued with himself on whether or not it was a good idea to let her see their camp. 'But then, there's no way in hell that she'll be able to escape. Although...It may be entertaining to fight against her again...'

Sythe got up from the tree that was outside of Gabriel's tent, heading over to where his special forces resided. Four hours until I see some action. God it's been a long time. Sythe thought, as he walked into his tent, picking up a special stone that made his katana extra keen. He stepped back outside, in order to be able to watch how his men and women were getting prepared. Some were making sure they had ammo and that their blades were sharp, while other were 'warming up' their abilities, so to speak. Well at least they're getting ready. I wonder if they'll remember everything I taught them when the time comes to battle. Sythe pondered, as he started to sharpen his blade. It was a boring task, but it had to be done in order to ensure that he be able to kill swiftly.

Messiah rolled her eyes disdainfully, scoffing softly. "Actually, you used your mind abilities twice. Had it not been for your prodding at my mind towards the end, I would have been able to hold out long enough to stab at you a bit more." She stated casually, nearly grinning. "Ah, well, I suppose you depended too much on the assumption that I would try to prevent your entrance into my mind. Why fight against it when there was a good chance the complexity of a human mind would be too overwhelming for you to handle all at once?" The woman really did hate the idea of anyone getting into her head, since she was quite persistent when it came to keeping people guessing, but battles often called for sacrifices. She tighten the thin ribbon that held her hair in it's messy, unkempt ponytail in an idle manner, seeming unbothered by the fact that his wounds were already healing while hers, which could only depend on regular human regeneration, were still fairly fresh.

"Fifty fighters is more than enough to take on your mangy group, I suspect. Skill levels count more than numbers and I have my doubts that your members are invincible." She decided not to mention that even regular civilians could prove fatal when they set their mind to it, not all that confident in them herself. Sure, some of them could hold their own if it called for it, but she couldn't help but doubt their strategies. It'd take much more than just throwing a few punches to save themselves from death. Messiah hid any insecurities about her kin members well, however, feigning her ever-present control and indifference.

If the sixteen-year-old was surprised at the invitation she didn't show it, merely shifted her gaze away from his previously changing eyes and towards the tent's entrance. "Of course." Messiah replied, wondering half-heartedly whether Gabriel was overly confident for allowing an enemy to view his territory or if she had landed a blow to his head earlier without knowing. Either way, she wanted to get out of the tent. Thoughts trailed to his earlier question, which she had intentionally 'forgotten' to answer, silently deeming it none of his business. However, she concluded that her reasoning wasn't important enough to hide, nor did she think it could be considered anything dire when it came to hiding her intentions. Walking towards the flap, she paused when she reached it, glancing over at him.

"Why do I protect them, those whose futures matter so little to me? Because not doing so is precisely what they expect a 'coldhearted mutant' like myself to do. I happen to love the look on their faces whenever I prove them wrong, over and over again. Perhaps when they finally do decide to count on me, I'll let them down." She stated wry smirk before walking purposely out of the tent, stopping once she was a few feet away from Gabriel's residency. She made it a point to ignore any looks or sneers she received, composure coolly detached.
