Appearance: Kat is pretty tall for a girl her age, but by no means is she imposing (although quite stick-like). A generally sweet and well-tempered girl Kat has long dark hair that comes down to her upper back. As it is wavy and often seems to have a life of it's own, it is usually couiled around her head, in a braid, or in a tight bun. Neverless there always seems to be wispy strands tickling her face or lurking near her ears. Much like the young lady her mother wishes her to be Kat wears mostly wears the dresses which her mother buys for her and black tights (which she neglects to wear much to her mother's displeasure in hot weather). The majority of her gowns come to her lower knees with sleeves lined with lace for the cuffs that came to her elbow. The lace always seems to get snagged on something or rather and thus is not in the best of shape. The front of the dresses is detailed lace and slightly ruffled with three buttons often going down. Also present is a high starched and stiff color with a matching black ribbon. The dresses are cinched at the waist. In summer she neglects high-necked dresses. She often wears green clothes as well, often with creased and starched sleeves and button up fronts in cold weather (while the shifts are sleeveless). Sensible shoes clad her feet- which her mother often critiques as hooves- brown in color, although theese too are neglected in hot weather as well as the tights. She has a pale oval shaped face with doe-like, wide green eyes. A slight sprinkling of freckles adorns her short nose and cheeks. When concentrating particularly hard on something Kat has a habit of sticking her tounge out between her lips so the tip is sticking out slightly. Her lips are full and the top is a tad bigger than the bottom lip. She hasn't quite grown into her height yet and thus is quite clumsy, her clothes are more often than not ripped (especially with the tights) in the knee area.

Personality: Kat is a kind well-tempered, although often far too trusting for her own good. She is a daydreamer and procrastinator and often spends hours (when she should be studying for classes) gazing out the window or slowly picking a dandelion apart on a patch of grass outside. She is easily hurt by snide or rude comments and is always tortured over whether she has hurt someone?s feelings by saying something rude. She is witty and quick thinking (although she does not often share her smart-alleky comments). Well-tempered most of the time when provoked too much she bursts without warning and is likely to storm off somewhere and smash things (it would take a lot of tormenting to get to this point).

Character flaws: Likes to be right all the time. Very competitive. Too trusting. Clumsy. Wants to please her mother very much but somehow always falls short of her mother?s expectations.

Background: Growing up in a working-middle class family Kat was well off, but certainly not spoiled. Her mother is a cranky and often finiky woman, who works at a laundry-mat during the daytime. Her father, a kind but reserved man works at an office and almost never interacts with his daughters. Having much free time as a child (and growing up with three older brother, one of which was working for a mechanic at the time) tinkered with the toys and play-things of her older brothers.

Skills:Thinking up abstract and intresting ideas for inventions. Using her resources constructively. Daydreaming up new thoughs and unique ideas. Drawing, writing, and thinking.

Belongings: A small white chest holds her most prized treasures- a small work stuffed animal bunny with a heart on it's chest and four of her favorite books. Lining the bottom of the chest is a series of random things that somehoow have ended up in there- keys, screws, paper-clips, rumpled sheets of paper- sometimes just reaching in and grabbing a book from the chest will inspire a future invention. She also had a hard-cased, tan suit-case which her clothes reside in for the moment. She has not got around to unpacking all her belongings yet.

Character secrets: She has a crush on someone special and totally unlike her.
