hey!, i made my own drumline discussion, but oh well, i play 6th bass, i used to play 4th, but a freshman came and took it...

Sixth!?!
I thought there were only five basses, and absolutely no more than that... Wow. I've heard of like seven snareists, and like five tennors, but ... six bassists??? Wow.

I play first bass and thank God cuz some of the things we're doing are even hard without the drum XD. There's one one returning member to the drumline this year and she plays 2nd bass. The other three basses (including me) are freshmen and the 2 snares were in pit last year.
I heart bassline!

I'm new to D-line as well but ive been playing drums for a while now....I play 5th bass and I'm hoping to play snare next year

Our drumline is really competitive... there are no freshman on it this year, and I was the only freshman on it last year until someone quit and another freshman took his place.
I've played 1st bass both years, and I would have to agree that drumming is more important than water.
My drum is my love.

This is like the one year anniversary of my school's drumline about now, new concept if that didn't cue you in- I'm the first female in drumline, it makes me so proud. *tear* Cymbal player here but I might be changed to another part,I dunno. :3

I'm a vet. Tenor player. I played in marching band and indoor drumline on tenors. Tenors rule XD
