* pneumono = related to lungs (Latin, from Greek)
* ultra = beyond (Latin, as in "ultraviolet")
* microscopic = extremely small (Latin/Old English, from Greek mikron, small, and skopos, view)
* silico = silica (Latin)
* volcano = volcano (Latin)
* coni = related to dust (Greek: konis, dust)
* osis = disease / condition (Greek)

I learned last week that fibroid is a nice sounding name for a non cancerous tumor. All the nice medical names trying to make us feel better about our conditions. It doesn't really work especially since you can leave the doc's office and go home and google it.

Today I learned that Ben Sherman was originally a brand for skinheads, not metrosexuals.

It is not the learning that is the problem for me. It is the remembering.

I won't remember how to spell the longest word, I just know it!

By the way, Doressa... one of the things I've forgotten is what a metrosexual is. People were using that word a lot a couple of years ago, but I don't remember what it is now. I've been hiding under a bush. Is there any such thing as tetrasexuals?

Can't say I've heard of a tertasexual as yet, but metrosexuals are certainly running rampant in these here parts. They are defined as a straight male who spends more time grooming himself than your average female.

I sometimes shave twice a week. Do I qualify?

Well, I was thinking of that game tetra. I bags not being on the bottom!

Is it anything like tetris?

Ah yes, that is it!

By the way, I wouldn't have thought skinheads and metrosexuals would be all that compatible. But I suppose it must take some time to shave your head.

Man, I've got to shave multiple times a day sometimes. By the book only once a day is necesary, but duty days and times something is going on, gotta shave to prevent a first class or chief chewing me out.
