it was the first time Lykos had broken that particular finisher out, as it was the first time he'd had the chance. Now he quickly attempts to roll Ares over and go for the pin

Ares was laid out as Lykos would drop for the cover with the official following shortly behind. Watching the shoulders.
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
"Ring the bell!"
The bell would toll as despite the great attempt, Ares would fall once again to the Dark Wolf.

Lykos rolls off the pin as his music hits and the crowd cheers. Lykos had survived his second title defense.
"Here is your winner and still the WWFG Intercontinental champion, Lykos!"
Lykos gets to his feet, one arm clutching his abdomen as the referee hands him the title belt and raises the arm with the title in victory. The Dark Wolf is certainly aware of the fight he was in to keep the gold, but as he lowers his arm and exits the ring, he can smile at the knowledge that he'd kept the gold yet again.
