
There were few people in this world that Vlad could be said to fully trust. With Anoushka, Mara, and Lisette's whereabouts unknown, the list was even narrower than it had once been. But there was one who he was unsurprised to hear was still walking the world.
Durga Syn was...well. "A friend" seemed a strange relationship to have, given what they were, but she was as close as Vlad could say he came to having one. And really, how else was he to think of someone that he had known since before he was cursed with unlife, and with whom he had shared projects and secrets--and to whom he had entrusted something deeply important to him.
It had taken some time to track her down, but here he was, finally, at her vardo, somewhat dressed down for the occasion in an effort to look....less conspicuous. Not inconspicuous, that was much to ask, but less conspicuous.
He rapped on her door, politely but strongly.
"Durga Syn," he announced, "it's Vlad. I've come to speak with you."
