Hiss is gearing up to combat Revontulet's next round -whether it be soft disagreement, sheer stubbornness, cajoling and bribery, or dire threats- when he notices the sudden shift. Whereas a moment ago Revontulet had seemed to be winding up to launch her counter agreement, the wind seems to suddenly have been taken from beneath her metaphorical wings. As he watches, the bonfire night colored mare visibly droops, the fight draining away before it can even really start.
There's a bashful undertone to her counter argument, as well as no small amount of regret as she offers a reply that is both argument and apology. Hiss gives a heavy sigh as he hears how soft her voice has gone, nodding in quiet understanding.
"I know you didn't mean to scare us. I know you wouldn't risk yourself and all of us like that... but nothing can change the fact that we were scared. All of us. We were terrified we were going to lose you, and it was very possible that we could have. Even likely, I would say. What's more, we all could have been hurt in our rescue effort, if we hadn't worked together so well. That's nothing to sneer at, and it's not something we would be eager to repeatedly experience. So because you almost got hurt, and we definitely got scared, and now all of us need to figure out how to move forward."
He makes a reluctant sound of amusement, a rumble of laughter that stays mostly in his chest, at her remark about it being karma or ironic timing on the heels of her being well behaved for the first time in probably months.
"You are not funny," Hiss tried to tell her with a straight face and mostly succeeds. "I wish your mate had come along so I could just leave you to him. I guess I will have to settle for all your friends, hmm? So let's pick up the pace and find them then."

Kasomba takes it upon himself to provide a subtle encouragement, a leading statement and a patient look directed at the reluctant Tajvar. The FurnaceHound seems to be dragging his feet, but Kasomba is patient. He can wait.
Whether or not Revontulet will wait, that is another matter. And, to be honest, one entirely outside of Kasomba's hooves or Tajvar's paws or anyone else's to answer or control. Revontulet was a force of nature... a hurricane folded in on itself until it was condensed into the body of one mare coated like an autumn evening bonfire. Though he is not as close with her newly introduced sibling, Mahiz whom everyone called Hiss, Kasomba feels like he is far more mild in attitude and temperament. Hiss has already presented himself as yet another candidate attempting to instill stability and restraint where Revontulet is concerned... But he also appears to be equally unsuccessful, as the rest of them have been.
"All we can do is hope for the best?" Kasoma says with a shrug and a sort of 'what can we do' look in the direction of the stallions. "If all goes well today, I guess I'll look for a well-meaning sacrifice or two to bring myself... I think we're more or less out of family options, I haven't seen my brothers in some time. But I suppose friends would work? Tajvar makes a good point as far as possibilities for next time..."
He gives a nod at Tajvar's polite suggestion. "By all means, let us go find our wayward lady fox spirit, and her brother... as well as whoever else has been brought along to join the party."
