It had seemed Ryan's roar was able to destabilize the madness being long enough for the other two fighting it to do whatever they were trying to do. Neither Ryan nor Serah were sure of what they were trying, but it seemed like the Queen wasn't done yet. While it tried to attack the two up close, a maw detached and began heading their way. Serah had this, though, and kneeled down before firing a shot into the ground [ Fancy Shootin' ]. The shot would travel towards the maw, launching up at the last second to hit the strange being, sending it well off course. She'd keep a watchful eye as Ryan prepared once more.
The boy took a deep breath once more, much deeper than before. This would produce a roar like before, but it was more directed at the Queen and the two next to them. The roar at the madness monstrosity would be the same as before, to destabilize the madness itself [ Prayer ]. However, the effect on Joan and Sarah would be beneficial. The roar would boost them, let them know that they're not alone [ Praise Be (Love is Multiplied) ]. This would hopefully bolster their next techniques, allowing them to finish this thing off.
Ryan stumbled a bit, catching his footing before he fell. He was panting. He hadn't ever roared twice before. It was always just the once. He had a bit left in the tank, but wouldn't be much longer before he'd have to bow out of this for good.
Techs Used - Fancy Shootin' [Serah] - The user fires their gun into the ground before the bullet travels under the surface and resurfaces from the ground beneath the enemy. - Prayer [Ryan] - The Cleric speaks truth to power. General speech can be enhanced with this technique, but the Cleric can also recite mantras that reinforce their strength if they so choose. This ability cleanses one target of all Madness. If used on the self, it can only heal one tier of Madness per application. - Praise Be [ Ryan ] - The Cleric enhances an ally's abilities. Using language or movement, the Cleric enables one target to use one technique in their next post at one level higher for no additional resource, up to five.

Entering the soulspace had been rough, and Sarah groaned as she rose to her feet once she arrived. “Hey, props to us for getting it to work…” she mumbled while she looked around. “Are you in one piece over there?” The blue haired Meister turned to her temporary partner to make sure she was okay. Sarah herself felt vulnerable. She’d never been inside someone else’s soulspace before, not even Enmei’s. The girl knew that the circumstances called for something so drastic, but she still couldn’t help but feel like she was intruding. However, that didn’t stop her from looking around in awe as the pair traversed through Rhett’s soul. “It’s a lot bigger than I thought it’d be. Much more… high class? And is it always this dark?” Soon Sarah’s question would be answered. Within moments she’d bear witness to Rhett, trapped against the ceiling in a similar slime as the Queen from the real world. Sarah would nudge Joan, if she didn’t already notice, and point directly up. Soon things would become hectic, as the Queen had found the pair and immediately gone on the offensive for their trespassing. Sarah flexed her hand, calling an Enmei-like rifle to her hand with a quick flash of light. “You go get him,” she said as she stood between Joan and the Queen. She lifted the barrel of the gun and channeled her wavelength, creating a gathering of wind and fire before blasting the incoming swipe with both. [Fireball Level 3, Convergence, Current Shift Level 2>>3] “I’ll do what I can to keep her away from you guys!” The bullet hit the Queen’s strike, erupting into a massive explosion of wind and fire that Sarah would use as cover to draw the Queen away from the other pair. “Wow, I didn’t think that the coven kept slug witches in the employ.” She taunted. Truth be told, trashtalk wasn’t Sarah’s strong suit. But she needed to do whatever she could to protect Joan and Rhett.
In the real world, Sarah had to jump away a short distance from the real Queen. She spun Enmei until his base was pointed at the ground, and she slammed him against the ground with all the force she could muster. [Earth Shield Smash Level 2 x2] Sarah didn’t like to fight in close quarters, but she didn’t want to risk breaking the connection by going too far away. Staying engaged with her enemy would be a balancing act on the life and death scales. Sarah pointed Enmei at the rock shield he’d created and pulled the trigger, firing a blast of wavelength through the rock to hit the Queen with massive chunks of shrapnel. [Buckshot Level 4]

Low groaning echoed in voice as a smaller creature's body drop to the ground, rendering motionless; a knee hitting below with a hand resting on her bend thigh panting heavily. Beads of sweat rolls down from her head, exhausted from how much she's throwing herself against these things. Looking upwards, Kasumi grabbed hold of some wooden stills leaning back then catapults herself up, kicking off from another stand still to land on-top, taking some deep breaths, in and out; concentrating in silence.

⇨☾⇨Joan felt herself become more powerful through Ryan's prayer. Although she did not fully understand how or why that happened. When she was transported to Rhett's soul space, the weapon felt even more worried. This was actually the first time that she entered this place. Joan and Rhett never had the opportunity to perfect their soul resonance training. She was now determined to do so even more once this was all over. She had no choice, she needed to make that happen. She transformed back into her human form when they were inside the soul space. When she saw Rhett, she ran toward him immediately and grabbed his hand to pull him out of here. "Let's go!" She was appreciative of Sarah and her successful attempts to protect them. Joan turned to Sarah even if it was from a distance. "You're a strong and compassionate warrior, Sarah." Joan smiled at Sarah as she paid her a genuine compliment. These were the values that Joan sought to cultivate in herself. As such, the sword maiden admired seeing these traits in others. In the real world, she remained in Sarah's hands as she did all that she could to help Rhett in the soul space.

⇨☾⇨Rogue was enraged as Adelaide threatened Chance. Her yelling at him and berating him for following his heart was infuriating. The idea that she was entitled to him like he was her property and not a person of his own was repugnant to Rogue. He was not going to allow her to hurt him or take his freedom away. "Chance! Transform!" Rogue commanded and Chance was confused about what to do. He followed Rogue's directions and transformed into a pistol but did not know where it would land. Rogue caught the handle of the gun in his mouth as fire magic was sent toward him and Chance. The duo then exploded into red smoke and escaped the chains. They formed behind Adelaide from their illusory formed with Chance's gun form in Rogue's hand. He pointed the barrel of the gun at her and pressed it into the side of her head. "Stop this. This is your last chance." Rogue warned as he pulled the hammer back on the revolver, ready to shoot with the slightest pull of the trigger.

Enmei felt something strange as they transversed into Rhett's soulspace. It were almost as if he had awaken from a long slumber. 'Huh what's going on?' He thought to himself as he tried to shake himself from the daze that he had been in. How long had he been out? The only familiar thing at the moment seemed to be Sarah, she was holding him and he was in weapon form. The man was able to pick up on those facts nearly right away as he heard the blue haired meister's familiar voice. 'I'm glad she's here at least. She can help explain what's going on.' Enmei continued to think, trying to get more details about everything going on around them. However, it didn't seem Enmei had time as Sarah lifted him into the sky before releasing a bullet. 'Damn she's gotten better. What happened?' Enmei felt more confused than he had before. Had a lot of time passed? He remembered being in the library with her and now this is where he was. Sarah could explain.
For now the man had to remain on his insticts with his meister to take down whatever enemy it was they were there to fight. From what Enmei had gathered so far, it seemed as thought it were some sort of women, potentially a witch? Whatever she was, Enmei wasn't getting a good feeling from her. Especially with those maws that she had. "Let's get her Sarah!" Enmei encouraged his partner with a smirk. The girl was doing an amazing job. He was certainly impressed as she pulled him into place to destroy their own wall to create a shrapnel storm. "Yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about." Enmei continued on, trying to make sure his partner knew he had her back from then on. Whatever it was that happened to him could wait, for now he had to back her up the best he could.

Rhett had felt his hand be taken by Joan in his soul space, looking up to see her pulling him out of his entrapment ever so carefully. The connections that anchored him to the growths by the side of the rooms would slowly come undone, as he'd be tugged along out of his prison. At the absence of a power source, the Queen's souls space would lose most of its power, letting out a ghastly wail as its hands shook, falling away at the sudden attack by Sarah. It tried desperately to reform itself to begin an offensive but without a power source to siphon its energy from, the being would collapse to the ground. It eyed the trio and clawed its way back towards them until finally fading away with a defeat groan. After the banishment of the otherworldly presence, Rhett's soul space would drastically change, a beautiful sunset being shown outside the grand windows as the ballroom returned to its former glory. Soulspace Rhett would smile weakly, hugging Joan tightly. "It was awful. I couldnt see anything but heard you. I kept running and running, but then you saw thw thing that..." He stammered again, but would press his lips against Joan's. They shared a moment, feeling his partner's touch again was akin to the sweetest reward in itself. "Thank you. I glad that nightmare is over."
Back in the real world, The Queen's form would slowly lose its form, Madness slime melting off of the host's form as it puddled across the ground around them, before then dissolving away. This left the actual Rhett finally rest as his body would slump over Joan's weapon form. While the thrust had missed any vital organs unlike the fate that befell The Queen, he did appear to have a noticeable wound on the side from the sword impacting with his body. "I hope...ah-I didn't miss anything..." With the madness out of his body, the awkward Meister would stand for a moment, weakly smiling at Sarah and Joan before falling against the floor with a thud. A quick check of health would show he was alive, but thoroughly drained of resources and energy.
The moment that the gigantic fireball would leave Adelaide’s hand, she erupted into a manic phase of laughter watching the two lovebirds squirm. Yet as it drew closer to them, her laughter would begin to falter, the girl’s expression softening back to its normal while she would seemingly drop all pretenses against the two. "Cha-" Adelaide began before blinking, hearing the sound of the revolver chamber clicking echo in her mind. The fireball had been simply evaded, sailing past the room as it would soon explode in a beautiful fan of flames. Her eyes went over just in time to catch The Queen’s form giving away. Her eyes widened in surprise at seeing the boy underneath in good health, although collapsing onto the ground from the extent that the Madness had pushed him in its parasitic possession. "Ah-I…did this." she said to herself. Her eyes darted around the compound, glancing at the torn fabric from the big top, the upturned chairs and destroyed foundation of the tent from what had just occurred. The girl would pause for only a moment, looking back down at her bullet wound while the still moist would be present across her arm, in the process of coagulating while the performer closed her eyes at the worrying hatred of that color that had set her off from before. Which now led Adelaide to quickly drop the aggression and everything that had happened up to this point. She covered her face in her hands while some breakage of her facade could finally come through. "I’m sorry…I know you won’t believe me, but…" Adelaide looked at the gun, her eyes locked onto the barrel while hoping that Chance would be able to hear her in his weapon form. She didn’t know too well about how the weapon and meister thing worked. "I tried running after you when you left, Chance. When I found I was a Witch, I wanted to try what you did and failed. The circus here found me and showed me things. Things that made me go…You probably know what happened. I deserve whatever you want to do to me. I’m a monster…"
Adelaide looked to Rogue, leaning forward to press her temple against the barrel. "Meisters and weapons need souls, r-right? I did a lot of bad stuff to you guys, even if I that wasn’t me. I don’t know how souls work, but I doubt you would pass up a chance at more. I don’t want to hurt anyone else…" Her solemn eyes leaked tears before closing them and balling her fists as she took a breath, her voice cracking as she made amends with what she believed was to be her last. "J-Just promise me you’ll take care of Chance. Do everything I wa-wanted to do with him. Or I’ll come back and make you, o-okay?" With her peace said, Adelaide would stand forward, ready to take the brunt of retribution for her actions, even with how naive she was to the world around her. "I deserve this…"

⇨☾⇨Rogue could feel Chance's sorrow as the weapon started tearing up even in his pistol form. He gave a saddened sigh as she pressed her head into the barrel of the gun. He looked at Chance in the reflection of the cylinder and gave a knowing glance. There was no way that Rogue could trust her enough to let her go free. It was possible that she was deceiving them again so that she could go back to killing. Rather than pulling the trigger, he slammed the gun into her head hard enough to instantly knock her unconscious. Chance transformed back into his human form and picked her up in his arms. "Adelaide..." Chance was saddened and teared up as he thought of the tragic circumstances. "She'll be fine, but we gotta get her back to the DWMA. Let "Lord" Death figure this out." Rogue reassured Chance with a pat on the shoulder before using his hand to dry the tears from his cheek. Rogue then looked around at the others. "Show's over folks!" Rogue and Chance would start walking back to the DWMA to report what happened.

⇨☾⇨The world around her was beginning to show light again as the dark realm dissipated. She was so joyful when Rhett kissed her and she was able to see the Sun again. In the real world, she transformed back into her human form and out of Sarah's hands. She hugged Sarah briefly and smiled. "Thank you for your help!" Joan felt so hopeless but she was glad that her kind new friend helped her get Rhett back. She grabbed Rhett's arm affectionately and kissed his cheek sweetly. "Well I missed you." She realized that she was showing her girlfriend affection to her classmates but she did not care anymore. After coming close to losing her partner, she had no reason to care about anything else.
⇨☾⇨She looked over at the Adelaide situation briefly. Rogue seemed gruff and hitting her in the head with a pistol whip seemed brutish. Although she supposed it was necessary from a safety perspective and it was much better than killing her. Joan felt for Adelaide and just hoped that the mentally-unstable carnie would get the help she needed soon. She looked over at everyone else and complimented them. "Great job everyone!" Joan was just glad that it was all over. She looked over at Ryan and Serah and remembered that they did something that made her stronger in battle. "What was that thing you did earlier? That was really interesting. What are your names?" She looked at the weapon and meister partners that she did not recognize and awaited a response while hanging off of Rhett.

With the action finally over, Ryan and Serah could finally catch their breath. Ryan moreso since he had to use his roar twice. The two of them couldn't help but watch the scene unfold as Adelaide seemed to come back to her senses. The two of them didn't understand, but they could both tell that the history was tragic between them. It was sad. She didn't think she could control herself, but in the end, weren't they all slaves to their emotions?
Serah had to hold Ryan back as they watched Rogue pistol whip Adelaide into unconsciousness. It was brutal, and barbaric. Even if she was asking for her end, that wasn't how you treated someone. However, before they could even contemplate what had happened, they were approached and asked their names, and what it was that Ryan did.
"Huh? Oh, I'm Ryan Grayson,and I'm Serah Shepard." Ryan waved while Serah gave a bow. "As for what I did, that was my Roar. I have the ability to simultaneously bolster allies and attack madness with it. Takes a toll when I do it that way though. I can make it either or, but it seemed important to do both."
Serah would look Rhett over as Ryan explained away. "Hey, you alright? I can't even begin to imagine what was going on in there." She gave a soft smile, but knew that there could be more than just a graze from a sword on his side. "Also, what're your names? Kinda rude to ask yet not give, don'tcha think?"She asked in a teasing manner, to know no hard feelings.

Thus, if you wrote a lot in this event then you will receive more souls than you would doing missions on your own. You will also be rewarded more than people who wrote less.
