                        Disintegration

                        Disintegration is a unique status effect by certain dust release techniques. Much like Corrosion, Disintegration is most effective against defensive opponents but differs in that it is effective against chakra based sources as opposed to physical ones.

                        Tier One Disintegration

                        • Barriers / Shields / Fuuninjutsu below D-Rank are immediately destroyed. Those higher have their duration cut to 3 posts before fizzling out.
                        • Those above that are destroyed may be remade at the base cost PLUS [3] ranks below the technique cast.
                        • [XX] Chakra is reduced from the target per post for 3 posts or until cured.

                        Tier Two Disintegration

                        • Barriers / Shields / Fuuninjutsu below C-Rank are immediately destroyed. Those higher have their duration cut to 3 posts before fizzling out.
                        • Those above that are destroyed may be remade at the base cost PLUS [2] ranks below the technique cast.
                        • [XX] Chakra is reduced from the target per post for 4 posts or until cured.

                        Tier Three Disintegration

                        • Barriers / Shields / Fuuninjutsu below A-Rank are immediately destroyed. Those higher have their duration cut to 2 posts before being fizzling out.
                        • Those above that are destroyed may be remade at the base cost PLUS [1] rank below the technique cast.

                        Evolving Items are specifically designed to change alongside their owners during their tenure in the guild. While the benefits are minor at first, these upgrade and change as characters gain experience or meet other various progression hallmarks.

                        ▰ Strange Waterkissed Gauntlets:

                        A pair of dust caked gauntlets found lying about. There's nothing spectacularly interesting about them, although you do get the feeling that they hold something within them.
                        Progression: Reach C-Rank to Evolve




                        ▰ Waterlogged Hands of the Drowned:

                        After some time and care spent into restoring the gauntlets to working order, you've found that they do hold exceptional power that not every piece of weaponry has. While in combat, you gain +1 to Agility when equipped. If the wielder has a Suiton chakra nature, they may korabo their tai/buki styles with suiton ninjutsu for no additional activations every [3] posts.
                        Progression: While equipped, reach A-Rank and win 1 fight




                        ▰ Ebb and Flow: Fists of the Rain Country:

                        Restored to full, these legendary gauntlets were once used by a monk in the Rain Country to trained endless to perfect his craft. It's said that his focus and speed were able to strike from any angle as high speed, as if his entire body was water. When wielded, the owner gains +2 to agility and may utilize the [X] Ranked Dodge technique for half of its cost [3] times per fight. If the wielder has a Suiton chakra nature, they may korabo their tai/buki styles with suiton ninjutsu for no additional activations every [3] posts.

                        ▰ Scrolls & Books
                        The idea here was to create a way for some common arc rewards and such to be available through the shop in a more common fashion, although they would cost much more than typical books.

                        ▰ How I Learned to Stop Slacking and Love the Training: [x1]

                        This set of advanced level academic discussions was written by a nameless master of the ninja ways, whose power was second only to his social life. This depressingly thorough study on the ninja way allows the user to unlock an additional chakra nature. You can only use this book once because of how boring it is to read though.


                        ▰ The Great Attribute-sby: Unlimited World [x1]
                        < XXX ryo >
                        A world renown book about how one man looked deep within oneself to unlock his potential and break the barriers to one's growth. This will give the user [1] Lesser PA after purchasing. You can only limit break yourself so many times, as this may only be purchased 2 times.


                        ▰ The Great Attribute-sby: Dark Temptations: [x1]
                        < XXX ryo >
                        Not many people know about this sequel to the previous book, but it's much more adult focused. Maybe a bit too much. Reading this gives you [1] Greater PA and a sense of that shame will prevent you from ever buying another one again.


                        ▰ The Hills Have Eyes Or At Least I Think They Do: [x1]
                        < XXX ryo >
                        A book meant for the eyes of those well versed in Genjutsu. Buying this allows for the reader to increase their maximum Genjutsu slots by 10. It's scary though, so you can only buy it [X] amount of times before fear sets in.

                        ▰ Arc Reward Items
                        Arc Items are limited quantity items that are given at key points during the arc that grant those who contributed significant progress. These items are typically stronger than ones found in shops.

                        ▰ Illusion Grid Wave Limiter:
                        A fragment of the great engineering marvel that was Amegakure's Illusion Grid. When attached to a weapon, this increases the range of one's genjutsu by XX feet once held to the sky, allowing them to apply genjutsu to all people within an area as long as the proper triggers are met. For [XX] additional chakra per post, the user can bypass the limiter and triple the range.

                        ▰ Bloodied Ritual Scythe:
                        An ancient piece of Jashinist history that has been said to quell the lives of an entire village in a single swing. Wielded by a long forgotten Jashinist who condemned his entire homeland to be sacrificed for his god. Long forgotten by time, this weapon gives the wielder the ability to cast Blood Release techniques that 2 ranks below their own rank while the cost is subtracted through their stamina. They might hear voices urging you to kill those close to you, but just ignore them.

                        ▰ Forgotten Captain's Blade:
                        A blade gifted to those who have dedicated themselves to serving Zaishin. This intricate blade is distinct in the sound it makes when swinging as air courses through the intricate carvings near the hilt. The wielder's speed, while not of the blade's own, creates an illusionary copy of themselves with every attack that echoes their first technique. Regardless of style, this counts as a spiritual technique for collision purposes.

                        ▰ C.R.O.W. Scavenger Containment Scroll:
                        A special scroll case used by the clean up crew of Amegakure after purges. Instead of gathering up corpses, they developed a way for the corpses to move themselves. This is meant not only for standard scroll keeping procedure but can only pass this quality onto corpses or living bodies trapped within the scroll. NPCs or characters trapped in the scroll maybe have whatever fuuinjutsu that is on the scroll painfully seared onto their body. Once summoned or freed, they retain the fuuinjutsu inscribed until the caster sees fit to remove it or activate the trigger.

                        ▰ MEDICAL CLASS:

                        Own Issues:
                        ● Adrenaline
                        ● Lack of "Power"


                        In Depth:

                        Adrenaline
                        Currently, Adrenaline is a blanket "status effect" exclusive to the Medical Class that is a blanket description for 7 techniques within the guild that have one of four effects, being:

                        Quote:
                        • Increases to Stats
                        • Delay of status effects or their temporary negation
                        • Recovery of chakra / stamina
                        • An extra activation


                        Issue:
                        As it stands currently, Adrenaline is unfocused and serves no purpose other than a vague description of how one's body undergoes changes to justify gaining an effect that other techniques in the class give. The only reason for its inclusion seems to be because of not wanting people to endlessly stack effects on themselves and limit it to only 3 posts. It's currently not even listed on the Status Effects Page.

                        Possible Changes:
                        Expand Effect List and Usage in Jutsu

                        By expanding the list of effects that Adrenaline interacts with, Medical techniques can have their own "unique" status much like Scholar and Hex.

                        Greater diversity of effects that encourage Medical nin to experiment with custom jutsu

                        Inflates the technique list with a single effect
                        This alone still does not fully address the issues with Adrenaline

                        Focus on Making It a Status

                        By focusing on one effect over the others given, we can nail down the aesthetic of Adrenaline for the class and add it properly to the Tier Status Effect system in rising effects for users.

                        Quote:

                        • Temporarily Increase Max Chakra/Stamina or Replenish Resources
                        • +1 Activation every 2-3 posts
                        • Stat Increase(s)


                        Focuses effects to have it fall more in line with the Status system
                        Allows user to gain more advantages over opponent

                        Certain bloodlines/techniques/demons/etc. could manipulate and abuse
                        May conflict with other status effects

                        Increase Effects, Add a Drawback

                        This places further a greater emphasis on relating the effect to its real life counter part. After Adrenaline wears off, a person's body must recover from the energy that was spent to kickstart its fight or flight response. For a better benefit of the given effects already, these drawbacks could be:

                        Quote:

                        • Increased Resource Costs for 1 Post
                        • -1 Activation Next Turn
                        • Any Negative Effect(s) that Persist Until Battle Ends


                        Adds depth and decision making to fighting as Medical Class

                        Overbearing; Could make jutsu not worth using


                        Lack of "Power"
                        For clarification purposes, I'll summarize by what I mean here. By its own niche set of techniques, Medical has and will always continue to be a less offensive build that its counterparts. Instead of allowing users tools to attack, they instead, offer their own benefits to defense or disable the opponent. By no means are any of them underwhelming or "bad" but the fantasy of the class is in itself not directly an offensively oriented one.

                        Currently.

                        So what makes up these issues of falling behind other classes?

                        Specialization Issues:

                        Let's go through the process of making a new specialist character. Beginning with Class Benefits, Very few characters do indeed choose to go a specialist route for characters, but Medical specialist falls behind entirely when compared to other classes. Below is the current Specialist Benefit:

                        Quote:
                        Medical – Medical: If this class is chosen as the first class and second class then you may choose two disciplines from this class. Additional medical technique slots can be converted to and from Ninjutsu/Genjutsu slots. You may convert 10 Ninjutsu/Genjutsu slots to 1 Taijutsu/Bukijutsu slot. Additionally, Medical jutsu cast by shinobi of this discipline are cheaper in cost as determined by the users body rank. Medical techniques cost 5 less per rank of the technique. Able to choose one ninjutsu or taijutsu discipline instead of picking both disciplines from medical class.


                        Broken down, the effects are:
                        • Turn additional medical slots into Nin/Gen/Tai/Buki
                        • Resource Cost Reductions
                        • You can learn 1 Nin/Tai Disc instead of being limited to Medical only

                        The first benefit seems to have been primarily kept from older versions solely to address the abundance of Iyrojutsu slots that are gained when specializing, something very few classes have implanted in their design. The resource cost reduction is standard enough and choosing a Nin/Tai Disc is done to address the inherent defensive nature of the class.

                        So what kind of Medical specialist only things are unlocked if one chooses to go that route?
                        Ninjutsu gets Full Access to the Status Effect System on jutsu / Free Augments
                        Tai/Buki gets exclusive styles
                        Jack gets Non-Bloodline Discs.

                        Currently, only 2 jutsu have such requirement:

                        Quote:
                        ▰ Gate Closing [ Hachimon Fusagu ] | Rank S+
                        Reflecting Hachimon usage within taijutsu specialists, this jutsu will allow a med-nin to forcefully close the highest opened gate within a target. Those not trained in the art of Hachimon usage have to follow the same style's limitations and benefits while the node(s) is/are open, and then when closed. This technique can also close the virtues and benefits granted by the Reiken no Michi. Requires medical class specialist to learn.

                        ▰ Gate Opening [ Hachimon Kirihiraku ] | Rank S+
                        Reflecting Hachimon usage within taijutsu specialists, this jutsu will allow a med-nin to forcefully open the next closed gate within a target. When opened through medical means, the gates stay open for an additional three post, but cause ten points of tenketsu rot per post. Those not trained in the art of Hachimon usage have to follow the same style's limitations and benefits while the node(s) is/are open, and then when closed. Requires medical class specialist to learn.


                        Making learning such techniques extremely situational at best. While there is merit in forcefully opening/closing gates or Reiken stages in itself, the trade off of limiting yourself to another Medical class instead of any other makes such things pointless, especially when Scholar is more likely to offer another way to doing so with an explanation that's more sensible in sealing class fantasy.

                        Lack of Afflictions:

                        Previous versions of Medical Class had a wide variety of techniques and such that focused on disabling or making opponents suffer through poisons, diseased, bleeding, suffocation, etc. As it stands now, a short handful of Medical techniques could fall under the umbrella of "offensive". Granted, a lot of said guilds having done so were bloated with Offensive and Defensive techniques, but it seems detrimental in itself that Medical offers few ways to inflict lasting and realistically feasible ways for users to spread afflictions without relying on customs or crafting for arguably better effects without using the D-B Variable techniques.
