The recently minted chunin sat in the medical library at the village's hospital, flipping carefully through a textbook. Since receiving a reccomendation from the Tanikage for a medical apprenticeship, mostly of Sasaki's time had been spent at the hospital studying. He'd found he had more talent for iryojutsu than he previously believed. With such a great teacher, he'd excelled and been a rather quick study. It'd given him a whole new passion in the subject, to the extent he'd decided to put his sealing studies on the backburner and specialize his talents in the medical profession. In his focused pursuits, he'd become so entranced in his reading that the sudden voice in the room startled him noticeably. "Sasaki Togeru. The Tanikage is requesting you meet her in her office immediately."
It took him a second to actually find the source of the voice, but felt silly when he located it. "Oh, hi ma'am. Sorry, what did you say?" The young man closed the book and looked at her again, ensuring her he was paying attention this time. The police chief sighed sighed slightly and repeated herself. "You're being summoned to the Kage's office. Now." Sasaki nodded and stood, collecting the book and replacing it before he left. The chief had left before he'd made it to the shelf, so he decided he'd better hurry along.
A few minutes later, Sasaki knocked on the Tanikage's partially open door and entered. He smiled at the woman and greeted her. "Good morning, ma'am! Chief Kiyoko said you wanted to see me?"

It had been some weeks since the sour faced Hasaki had her hands damaged significantly from the incident in the Weald. After a lot down time, treatments and short term rehab to get full use of her fingers again…., reaching a point where she could use them efficiently again but playing music in her flute seemed to still be out of the question. One more day and she would be consider fit for duty and the increasing boredom that had been mounting up would be cured from business again. For now she was “trapped” lounging in comfortable wear on the pillowed floor of her bedroom, surrounded by enormous sleeping ferrets while flipping through a book with undedicated focus. The lull would be unsurprisingly disturbed but by a more surprising source than what would have been expected, a knock at her front door making her perk up with a bit of uncertainty…., she had a visitor, Hasaki never got visitors.
”Mmmmmmmhh….., be right there…!” She called after kneeling up and stretching her arms above her head, arching her back to recalibrate her muscles from the prior lack of usage. Trudging over to where the knocking came from and offering her generally accusatory look as she simply asked ”Yeah, what do you need?” Her face not showing it but she was genuinely surprised that there would be a shinobi at her door today, tilting her head as Kiyoko offered the reason for their visit, which was not just some sort of social call. ”Hasaki Yozen, You have been summon to speak with the Tanikage at her office, immediately.” The police chief explained, hoping she’d no need repeat herself yet again or receive and dispute. Hasaki scrunched her face a little after the statement, not annoyed but a bit put off as she should be being asked for till tomorrow, still this isn’t something she would argue with, instead stating ”Pretty sure I’m not on duty till tomorrow, still…. I will leave shortly as I have to get ready first.” She said indicating to her ruffled state produced by inactivity, before turning and slamming the door shut behind her to do exactly as she said.
A short while later Hasaki strolled toward the main office, unaccompanied by even a single of her ferret partners, the lot of the totally out cold and would need an hour or so before they snapped out of deep sleep. She would be a strong 10 or so minutes later than Sasaki, her long tailed hood that was normally pulled up would not be, the woman instead in the process of brushing her hair to get it properly tamed and untangled as she strode in. In stark contrast to the polite form Sasaki offered as he entered the office, Hasaki true to form spoke much more casually. ”I was told I needed to be here.., what’dya need?… Tch dammed knots” The last part muttered a few instants after she spoke as the brushes motion jerked from getting caught and caused an unpleasant tugging pain from her scalp. Hasaki looked to her side, pausing the hand brushing her hair and gave Sasaki a narrow eyed look over, kind of like she was judging a piece of modern at and wanted to say something, instead just looking away from him to Usagi and going back to what she was doing.

Usagi tilted her head as Hasaki shuffled into her office, mumbling about her hair. “When… was the last time you brushed your hair?” With her hands no longer hiding her face, the bags under the woman’s eyes became more apparent. “Well, thank you for gracing us with your presence, Hasaki.” Usagi sighed and absently fiddled with some papers on her desk. “I know you’ve got an extra day, but we’re a bit short handed and I have a favor to ask.” The Tanikage was still fidgeting and, in an attempt to stop, she steepled her fingers together and rested her chin on top of them. “And thanks, Sasaki, for coming as well. I know you just got done with a mission, so I apologize for not letting you get a lot of rest. Hopefully you can get some during this mission.”
Usagi let out a huff as she tried to settle her heartbeat. Facing the murder of her family wasn’t something she’d actually gotten a chance to come to terms with, and it was becoming more and more clear in this brief conversation. Well, might as well rip the bandaid off. “As you may or may not know, my family was recently murdered.” It took all of Usagi’s willpower not to vomit just by saying that, let alone keep her composure. “So I’m taking a trip to Konoha to… see the damage for myself. Normally I would go by myself, but Kiyoko insisted I bring an escort. So I would like you two to come with me.” As she spoke, Usagi began tapping her fingers against the back of her hand. Even her leg started to bounce underneath the table.
“So that’s your mission.” Usagi wasn’t sure how to exactly finish her little explanation. “You’ll be traveling with me to Konoha, as bodyguards. Should you accept, we leave whenever the two of you are ready. Normally I’d tell you that I don’t think you’d need to prepare for much, but… the world’s kind of crazy right now. Between rampant Jashinists and… there’s something else that I need to investigate as well. A potential new problem that hasn’t exactly shown itself yet, but I’ve got a bad feeling about. If that makes any sense.” Usagi waved away her own words dismissively and rose to her feet. “So yeah. Let me know when you’re ready and we’ll be on our way.”
Shortly after arriving to the office, another person entered, apparently summoned there by the kage as well. Usagi addressed them, and thanked them for their attendance despite each of their own circumstances. Sasaki waved off her apology with a smile. "Ah, no worries. I've learned little naps here and there work wonders for me."
Usagi went on to explain her recent loss, a message Sasaki had been witness to her receiving. He nodded along as she spoke. When she finished, he thought quietly for a moment about what he might need, before speaking. "I'm sorry for your loss, ma'am. I can be ready to travel within the hour, I just need to let my mentor know I'll be leaving for a while, and grab some gear from home. Should we meet back here?"

Hasaki was to instantly answer the likely rhetorical question with ”I haven’t brush it in about a week, I forgot it’s so unruly..” She immediately responded to the more than likely rhetorical question, grumbling immediately after due to the tugging of some knots. She didn’t pay visual attention until turning her head back toward Usagi, opening her mouth to make a comment but the woman’s slightly haggard facial features gave pause to the ferret tamer. Now she chose to stay quiet and considering it not like she’d ever had the Tanikage ask a favour of her, movements of fraying nerves ringing loud to Hasaki’s keen vision and making her wonder what was going on. Then Usagi spoke toward the other person and hello and behold his name was a mere letter off from her own, an internal groan that only a person willing to be annoyed by something like that could make.
Giving him the second look as she was curious as to what the pair were needed for, something was up and she couldn’t figure out what, though there wasn’t too much prevalent information. That is until a bomb was dropped, one that even a grouch like herself could empathize with.., the fact is that it appeared as though Usagis parents were dead, murdered no less. It would be evident that this took the platinum blonde woman by surprise as her harsh eyes would lighten up, loosing the generally accusing nature they normally harbour. It was generally easy to assume why Usagi wanted them to be prepared for possible trouble what with the state of things as they were, the mission sounding simple enough beyond potential trouble but Hasaki was still kinda of stuck on how to acknowledge the whole parents being murdered thing. Out of the pair it was Sasaki would talk first, being as he had been grabbed from the end of one job it appeared he’d need to get some gear, something she would also need to do.
She would follow him up with face also filled with strain as this wasn’t something she did, sounding a little awkward or stiff in doing so. ”Like he said, sorry for your loss, it is no a fair thing…. I need to grab a little gear as well, didn’t realize I was going to be going on an excursion or I would be already prepared, it won’t take me long to collect it.” The woman said in a quieter manner lacking the normal displeasure and disinterest she tended to exude. Relaxing a little from her attentive stance, Hasaki grimaced a little while looking over the outside of her hands with a pang of anxiety and muttering ”Fingers crossed we aren’t going to run into trouble, I’d rather not be stuck recovering for another several weeks.” This all being said as she flexed her fingers in a mobility test, only waiting around at this point to hear Usagi confirm or clarify Sadaki’s final question of if they’d be meeting back here.
▱▰▱Mizuchi's striped haori jacket billowed behind him as he picked up the pace toward the Tanikage's office. His legs slinked along in a serpentine gait. If Yoku chose to follow in tow then he would need to hurry to catch up to the snake boy. Mizuchi was familiar to the special operatives in the building and would be given full access with no hassle. The Tanigakure shinobi would enter Lord Sasaki's office once permitted. He waved at Yoku to follow him in. Once they were both settled inside the relatively modest office space, Mizuchi closed the door with both hands eerily slowly. With a low creek, the portal was shut before Mizuchi inched closer and bowed deeply. Sasaki would have the benefit of knowing Mizuchi's idiosyncrasies far better than his new companion.
▱▰▱Mizuchi raised his head and rested his piercing gaze on the Tanikage. Kanmuri, the white snake, slithered and coiled around Mizuchi's neck gently. "Greetingssssss, Lord Tanikage." Her voice had a gentle yet unnerving hiss to it as she communicated on her summoner's behalf. "We found this boy on our patrol. A shinobi, yesss. We can sssense thisss. He's no mere refugee." As his personal summon explained the situation to the Tanikage, Mizuchi continued discerning and analyzing Yoku. "Indeed, a shinobi. But no headband. A perfect candidate for Tanigakure, yesss?" After Kanmuri finished speaking, she seemed to nestle into the crook of Mizuchi's neck.
The Tanikage ran one hand through his long reddish brown hair as he read through dozens of reports. An exasperated sigh blew through his pursed lips as he finished the first one before handing it off to the same shinobi that had just delivered him an entirely different set of messages. "Finance." The man nodded and darted out of the office. As the door slid shut, an ANBU officer popped in through the balcony and delivered another message, then waited nearby for direction. Sasaki skimmed over the message: a report from customs, new arrival form, notable chakra levels but unknown signature by any metrics. A village genin had vouched for him apparently. An addendum from the ANBU operative advised the geninl, Mizuchi Nobunaga, was en route with the new arrival.
A moment later, Sasaki could feel the pair approach the office door. He let them wait just a moment as he cleared some space on his desk. When he'd finished, he flicked his wrist toward himself gently in the direction of the door. It swung open gently before coming to a halt on tis own. Sasaki took a seat as the pair entered. "Hey Mizuchi, hey Kanmuri! What's up? Who's your friend?" The kage leaned back in his chair and put his feet up on his desk, confident if the new person meant him any harm, Sasaki would've felt it by now., and if did miscalculate, the ANBU operative near the window could take care of it. He listened as the tiny snake gave their report. "Hmmmm... Alright. Well then, tell me about yourself. Where ya from, where ya goin'?" Sasaki grabbed the customs report and skimmed it once again, eyes drifting between the folder and the newcomer.

Chishiya's steps were quick and silent, a circumstance resulting from their training at the Academy. Today was meant to be an exciting day, yet the ninja soon-to-be found their trek to the Tanikage's office to be mentally cumbersome due to the strains of life at home and the current standing with their family. Not even the news of graduation could relieve the financial burden of loss and the unnerving idea of a merchant's child taking the path of a ninja. Their grip on the forms presented to them by their instructor tightened momentarily as they approached the tall building, proceeding up the stairs to the office doors after being granted entry.
Chishiya noticed that the doors were shut, barely able to hear the voices coming from within. They had the common sense not to intrude, aware that their arrival was likely already detected. So they waited patiently outside.
Yokuatsu ended up picking up the quietness of the man he travelled alongside. He was getting use to it at the very least, he just followed still not entirely sure where they were going. Maybe it was to meet someone particularly important, well if it was that's sort of why he had come here in the first place so that's fine. Eventually finding himself walking into an important looking building with the man and still remaining mostly quiet. If this was the norm for this place then he'd probably need to get use to being like this anyways right? Of course that thought was blown out the window soon after, so people do talk normally down here? The person they met with began to speak, referring to seemingly both the man and the snake by their names. Of course this would be the first time he heard their names, but for a moment he questioned why he talked to the snake like that too?
Then the damn snake started to talk. "Huh?!" He audibly expressed his surprise. Jumping a little bit as he looked at the snake. "Snakes can talk down here? I.." He would pause for a moment to put himself back together so to speak, before turning to the 'Tanikage.' "Oh, uh, well I'm from the Cloud Sea Archipelago. For the sake of a few I care about I don't think I can be more specific than that. I don't know exactly where I'm going I guess...just here? To my knowledge the people of my family did not help with the incident 10 years ago, I didn't really like that, so after I did some things I needed to do I left. I just want to be available to help in bad situations if any of them come up." He explained to the person who seemed to be the leader of this place.

Sasaki smiled at the man's reaction to Kanmuri, then listened closely to his story, which didn't seem to deviate from their paperwork in any meaningful way. He seemed genuine, and the village could certainly use any help it could get at this point in time. "I see... Well I can certainly respect a certain level of privacy. If you're here to help, I definitely can't afford to turn you down honestly." The kage snapped the folder shut and set it on his desk, then stood from his reclined position. He extended his hand across the desk for a handshake. "Sorry, I didn't introduce myself. Name's Sasaki Togeru. I'm the Tanikage here, but don't let the title intimidate you. Just keep it cool and we'll get along fine, I'm sure." Once introductions completed, Sasaki took a seat once more. "I won't press you much on your first day in town, but I'd like you to see what you're getting into by offering your help before we talk anything official. We can't fix anything around here without looking it deadon, right? Mizuchi and Kanmuri, can you take our new friend here on a quick tour through the Hoshou District? That's where you'll likely be doing a lot of your workout of for the foreseeable future. We've been doing our best to help the people there, but it's been proving a challenge to keep up on the issues there. Any help we can offer there makes a difference while we work to resolve the major projects. Once you've gotten a glimpse of the district, you can take this notice to any lodging in the relaxation district and get settled in. That'll keep you housed for a week, but after that you'll be responsible for maintaining your own housing. Keep busy and that shouldn't be an issue." Sasaki leaned back in his chair once more, propping his feet up on a nearby box. "Unless there's anything pressing you'd like to discuss, why don't you come see me in the morning? We can talk specifics about how you'd like to help, if that's still the case after seeing the district."
Whenever the Tanikage's business with Mizuzhi and Yokuatsu had concluded and they had exited, Sasaki asked them to send in the person waiting outside the office. Once again, Sasaki gestured for the door to gently swing shut behind his visitor. the young man stayed seated, spinning casually in his chair as the shinobi filed in, only coming to stop once they stood before the kage's desk. "How's it goin', Chichishiya? What'cha got for me?" The Tanikage leaned forward to receive the papers from the graduate. He read over the forms, flipping through them a few times smiling. "Looks good, looks good... Great marks here... Glowing recommendation from your instructor... I'd call that a pretty clear call. Congrats!" A drawer slid open beside Sasaki and he reached in to grab a headband before standing up and walking around behind the graduate. "As the Second Tanikage, I grant you the official title of Tanigakure Shinobi, and promote you to the rank of Genin." He then placed the headband around the new genin's forehead and tied it securely as comfortably as possible. Before taking a seat once again, Sasaki clapped his hands on the shinobi's shoulders, his own personal experiences reflected in the genin making him slightly emotional. With the ceremonious bit out of the way, Sasakit took a seat once more. "Alright now, don't go slacking off just because you made rank. Tanigakure needs hard workers now more than ever. For the next month, I'm assigning you to evening patrols of the Hoshou District. Crime has been on an uptick lately and the police force has their hands full enough as it is. The two you saw leave before you, Mizuzhi and Yokuatsu, are on their way there now. I'd like for you to accompany them for bit as they tour the area. Think of it as a warm up patrol before your official ones begin. Any questions while you're here?"

The trip through the village, while relatively short compared to the trek from Seiryu-ji, allowed Yuki the opportunity to glean some insight into the state of things here. The crowds of people meandering about the streets was far too large for a village of this size. That probably meant that the village's resources were being worn thin, and the ability to house a population of this size likely proved to be equally as challenging as feeding everyone appropriately. Yuki noticed the outer edges of Tanigakure had an air about them that chilled his nerves slightly. He wondered if there was a growing issue of crime in the village, but was too worried of offending their shinobi guide to ask.
As they neared the Kage's office, Mafuba continued to verbally prod Yuki, and the two began engaging in a fit of bickering as they walked. This continued into the building itself, and once they were at the door leading into the Kage's chamber, Ren turned swiftly on his heels and held a stern finger to the pair. "You two need to knock that off this instant." Yuki and Mafuba both stood as straight as they could immediately. They both knew that they were in trouble if Ren resorted to using his "bossy voice," as they called it. Ren sighed and turned to offer a quick apology to the one that brought them through the village, who waved it off before knocking on the door.
Once the guard received permission to enter, they would quickly open the door to slip in and bring the customs forms and letters of introduction to the Tanikage and inform him of the guests waiting outside.
"Do you see what you've done? You made Ren mad," Yuki quietly scolded the elderly Mafuba.
"Me? You're the one who can't take a joke," he shot back. Ren threw a glance over his shoulder, eyes narrowed and full of an uncharacteristically cold intensity. Yuki and Mafuba both gulped and looked away from each other.
The Documents given to Sasaki The Customs forms are standard entry requests, with their length of stay left blank. The custom forms also have information added to them stating their intentions to assist the village in any way they can as a gesture of good will, with no compensation necessary. The members of the caravan have all signed the forms stating that they only request enough space within the village to set up their tents as living accommodations and to build a pen for their oxen (a total amount of space that approximates to the lot size for a small house for the pen and the tents together).
The additional documents provided are letters introducing each member of the caravan, listing the skills they are proficient with. Among them are carpenters, builders, farmers, hunter-gatherers, and other such trades. Though the number of individuals in the caravan may be relatively few (9 in total), many of them share the same skillsets. Members of the caravan also have developed antiquated shinobi abilities. Yuki's letter specifically mentions his pipe that he brought with him (currently slung over his shoulder), and explains that it is a necessary tool for his training, but doesn't go into further detail.
The documents provided also mention that they have brought collected goods with them on their journey, but does not go into specifics.

First Class: Genjutsu ▱▰▱ Master of Deception → With genjutsu, realism and the sensory ability of the target factor heavily into the ability of the victim to realize they are in a genjutsu. The illusionist chooses [1] Sense of Specialization that will render a genjutsu cost [1] rank less if the casted genjutsu's primary sense is their specialization. Genjutsu that use the illusionist's Sense of Specialization as the primary sense become resistant to the sensory powers of sages and non-Infinite Perception discipline scholars. This resistance means that the genjutsu will go unnoticed from these abilities. Since the illusionist has become so adept in their Sense of Specialization they may always weave it into genjutsu as an Additional Sense unless it would bring the illusion's sensory control above the [5] limit. The illusionist may also always select any Additional Sense that is not their Sense of Specialization to add to a genjutsu as long as it does not exceed the cap of [5] manipulated senses.
Sense of Specialization: Sight Second Class: Bloodline ▱▰▱ Dual Ancestry → Dual Ancestry allows you to have full access to two bloodlines upon creation including all techniques, abilities, and personal attributes associated with them. For biographical purposes, your secondary bloodline may be genetic or implanted at your discretion. This discipline gives you [4] bloodline PAs to be used only for the bloodline attributes of your dual bloodlines on top of the [2] personal attributes you receive at base for a total of [6]. If two elemental bloodlines are chosen then the primary bloodline's elemental affinities become your base elements and you gain full access to those elements while your secondary bloodline gives you locked elemental affinities that you cannot learn ninjutsu techniques from but you gain full access to the secondary bloodline. Locked elemental affinities can be unlocked through methods such as ninjutsu class or personal attributes. Elemental affinity personal attributes are automatically allotted to locked affinities. Jiongu users do not have access to Dual Ancestry nor can they be chosen as a secondary bloodline. Dual Ancestry users do not have access to the implant system including the Genetic Palette personal attribute. If you use multiple techniques from both of your bloodlines in the same post without Korabo then those techniques are increased in effectiveness by one rank. The waiting area outside of the Tanikage's office was silent, with the occasional muted voice making its way through the closed, wooden door. It was within Chishiya's mind where the noise was at its loudest, drowning out the current reality that surrounded them and fully submerging them in their own thoughts. Reflections of the past leading up to this point. The once long and intimidating pathway that seemed nearly impossible at the time to walk down, now split into a fork. One path: Failure. A dead end filled with nothing but shattered remnants of a dream and the unbearable weight of disappointment. Encompassing darkness of a bleak future. The other: Looked very similar to the path that lay behind them. Long. Unpredictable. Challenging. Filled with uncertainty, yet carried with it a mixture of resolve to ensure that every single step continued in a constant forward momentum regardless of the pace. Chishiya had since accepted the difficulty of the path chosen, like many others. The frustration however, was the only setback that was completely out of their control: the boon of genetics. With every step, there'd be someone a full stride ahead. How could a simple merchant's child compare to those who were born into shinobi families spanning generations? Was there even a place for someone like them?

The door opened, two individuals walking out. A special operative spoke once, then again to gain Chishiya's attention. They peered into the open door leading into the Tanikage's office from where they stood, glancing upon Sasaki's features and what could be seen of his office with their wide-set eyes. No sooner did they approach, entering the office. Chishiya's gaze broke momentarily towards the door that closed behind them with a simple gesture from their village leader. The gesture itself, while initially intimidating, brought stronger feelings of curiosity and intrigue. Apparently there was much more to the shinobi capabilities than what the books at the academy recounted. Standing before the Tanikage's desk now was a relatively small, slim-figured individual in simple (and somewhat dirty) clothing, and possessing a striking balance of both masculine and feminine features throughout. Their hair long and disheveled, presented more personality than the remote facial expression currently looking in Sasaki's direction. In the attempt to not mess up first impressions, apparently Chishiya had gone too far down the stoic approach.
In contrast, Sasaki's laidback demeanor was unexpected for a figure in a position of authority. It brought a welcoming warmth that matched the atmosphere of the office interior. Chishiya handed over the forms, watching intently as he looked over their academy records. Their gaze was steady, looking to catch any signs of disapproval. What they expected, was a compiled list of insufficiencies and judgements, only to discover that all of Sasaki's verbal comments were relatively positive. For the first time since entering the office, Sasaki may have noticed a soft exhale of breath. A silent gesture of celebration -- relief. Chishiya's instructor was definitely hard on them. The intention behind it was good, of course. So hearing from the Tanikage himself that they received such praise made Chishiya feel a little proud of their efforts leading up to this point. A headband was tied to their forehead, followed by a brief moment of vulnerability that made Chishiya feel... perplexed. Their eyes remained settled on the Tanikage, unsure how to respond or acknowledge the gesture. An overflow of confused thoughts stirred behind Chishiya's otherwise reserved facade like rushing water against a dam that refused to budge.
The tone was set the moment Sasaki returned to his seat, and whatever thoughts had been occupying a majority of Chishiya's mind faded to focus on the Tanikage's word in the present moment. They were a Genin now. The first step of many was finally accomplished, but as Sasaki stated, it was only just the beginning. Chishiya's unruly hair seemingly deflated subtly in response to the news of the Hoshou District. It was the district Chishiya and their parents resided in since taking refuge inside of the village. There was a physical response, albiet a slight one. A shuffling of Chishiya's stance. Uneasiness. Chishiya was aware that the area wasn't exactly the safest due to the raise in population, but it was the unknown nature of the crimes happening in the Hoshou District that was worrying. Chishiya was determined nonetheless to execute their duties to Sasaki's expectations. They'd be meeting up with Mizuchi and Yokuatsu for a mock patrol prior to engaging in legitamate patrols. Chishiya nodded, fully understanding and accepting of the terms of their first assignment. Sasaki ended the conversation leaving an opportunity for questions.
The gaze that was settled on Sasaki wandered for a moment, clearly in thought. They mulled over everything that happened today and the new information the received about their mission. Chishiya wanted to help the Hoshou District as much as they could, using the skills they studied hard for in the academy. For the first time since their arrival, Chishiya spoke. Their voice smooth and resonant, with a pitch that was neutral but a little on the higher side due to their young age. Inherently warm, despite their withdrawn demeanor, it possesses a slight huskiness while still maintaining a soft, airy quality. "I'd like to offer all that I can to aid the Hoshou District during my patrols." Chishiya continued, "I have studied medical techniques and have developed a skill with them that I am looking forward to improving, with time. Are there any additional duties I can add on to my patrols that can aid the district using these skills specifically?" Chishiya kept the question simple and direct, always one to get straight to the point. Ever since witnessing the attack against their family that left their father injured, Chishiya has directed a part of their focus towards gaining proficiency with medical techniques and getting themselves involved in the medical field. This, and partly was naturally inclined to do so because of their mother who recently started work in a herbalism shop to help get the family financially stable again.
Sasaki smiled at the new genin's question. It was nice to see Tani hadn't lost it's compassion entirely in the recent years. "As long as you're completing your rounds on time, feel free to help where you can. The clinics down there are never short on patients, so I'm sure they could use a hand in whatever way you can offer. Who knows, you might even learn some things while you're there." As he spoke, he felt the presence of a group of more new arrivals. While people were constantly coming and going from the village, it wasn't terribly common to have so many direct visitors to his office in such a short period. It made him nervous, but tried not to let it make him suspicious. A Tani shinobi entered and passed over a bundle of documents, which Sasaki accepted and set on his desk. "Busy day at the gates today, it seems... Sorry, Chisya, but I'll have to cut this one short. So... evening patrols, 1800-2200, Hoshou District, every night, next four weeks. If the clinics have an urgent need for you, tell them to submit a request to the office and I'll have it prioritized, cool? Cool. And congrats." Sasaki smiled at the genin before picking up the first few pages of the immigration packet he'd been handed.
After the kage had a few minutes to familiarize himself with the paperwork, the shinobi that had guided the new group to the office stepped out once again to collect the new comers. Once they had all filed into the office, Sasaki began to speak from a standing position behind his desk. "Well, welcome to Tanigakure! Name's Sasaki Togeru, and I'm the Tanikage." With introductions complete, Sasaki moved to take a seat, before stopping himself. "Oh, shoot, I suppose this might take some time, huh? Should probably grab you guys a seat." The kage made a gentle lifting motion with his hand before he sat in his own office chair. Just behind the group of travelers sprang a chair formed of thin intertwining branches for each of them, growing out of the wooden planks of the office floor. "So... I understand that you folks are here to offer some aid, with the request for some area to set yourselves up to do so..." Sasaki read over the page in his hand once more, rubbing his chin as he did so. "Unfortunately with the constant expansions and rezoning happening right now, I can't reasonably set aside the space you need for livestock, anywhere that you could actually get these oxen into. The best I can offer in the immediate is the space you're requesting, but just outside the village gates. If personal safety is a concern, we can certainly accommodate lodging for you all in town, we just can't make room for livestock at the moment. Maybe with your folks' help we can make the room you need within the village walls, but for now that's the best I can offer. Thoughts?"

Chishiya bowed respectfully, "Understood. Thank you..." They wouldn't take any more of the Tanikage's time, given the constant flow of tasks and meetings that kept them busy throughout the day. Chishiya left to prepare for their assignments and meet with the mentioned duo, after making a quick stop home to check on their parents. [ Exit ]
The trio stood in patient silence as the Tanikage presumably reviewed the documents that had been delivered to him within the office. Mafuba and Yuki were stiff as boards, making a point to avoid looking in each other's directions as to avoid further scolding from Ren. Once their guide appeared and gestured to follow them inside, the trio of wanderers quickly and quietly slipped through the open doors, taking their awaited audience with the Tanikage.
Ren stood between the other two and slightly ahead in a subtle “V” formation, clarifying his position as leader. He was tall, at least 6 feet in height. His long, bright-blonde hair was pulled back in a loose pony-tail with several strands out of place. He had crystal clear blue eyes that betrayed a sort of grounded wisdom far beyond his years. He wore a simple orange Kasaya, the traditional robes of a fully ordained Buddhist monk, a dark brown cloth belt, and wooden sandals. Mafuba wore the same, though his belt was a different shade of brown. Mafuba was the shortest of the three, barely over 5 feet. His bald head reflected almost as much light as Ren’s shiny blonde hair. The edges of his mouth twitched every so often, causing the small patches of facial hair that he refused to shave to jump. It looked as if he had tried to keep a pencil style mustache, but shaved too much out of the middle and never trimmed the ends.
Yuki stood out the most. His hair was neatly kept, the sides and back trimmed into a standard undercut, with the top kept long and pushed loosely to one side. His hair was a dirty-blonde, with most of the blonde being prominently displayed at the ends, and his roots being almost entirely brown. His clothing was starkly different from his companions. Rather than wearing traditional monk garments, Yuki was dressed in more modern attire. A teal hoodie, teal closed-toed shoes, and maroon pants. He adjusted the strap on his shoulder, shifting the weight of his covered Kiseru slightly. It wasn’t heavy, but the strap being in the same place for too long tended to bother the boy. He scanned the room with his red eyes, taking in as much detail as he could. Yuki had never been inside a village like this before. The closest he had come was some of the smaller settlements they passed through on their journey, and before that he never really stepped outside the walls of Seiryu-ji.
All three of the wandering monks bowed as Sasaki introduced himself. Ren gestured to himself, then to Mafuba and Yuki in turn as he returned their own introductions. ”It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Ren Kōshudaihari. This is Mafuba and Yuki.” Yuki raised a hand in a brief wave as his name was mentioned. As the Tanikage created a series of chairs with a wave of his hand, Yuki’s eyes widened.
”Oh wow. Now that’s a useful technique.” Yuki was the first to take his seat, carefully lowering himself down to test its support. ”And they’re comfortable to sit in too!”
Ren chuckled a bit at Yuki’s outburst. ”Please forgive him, he hasn’t experienced much of the world.” Ren waited until Mafuba had also taken a seat before following suit. ”Yes, we’re here to help Tanigakure in any way that is needed. We’re well versed in a variety of trades,” he stated plainly, gesturing at the documents before Sasaki. Ren nodded along as the Tanikage explained the issues they would run into regarding their living accommodations. Ren waved off the concerns. ”A space outside the village walls would be more than acceptable for the time being!”
Yuki’s mind instantly jumped to the feeling he got as they traversed through the outer edge of the village, wondering what sorts of problems they would face beyond the gates, but he knew they would at least be able to defend themselves in most cases. Ren clearly didn’t have those same concerns and instead pressed forward with the conversation. ”I take it that space is one area of concern that you are facing currently. We can certainly help with that. A lot of us are used to building and repairing structures. Are there any other areas of concern that we can assist with?”

This cloud of smoke makes the user impossible to detect by dojutsu or sensory techniques for one post, based on your body rank. Basic Dojutsu are blocked at Body Ranks E-B, and all Dojutsu are blocked at Body Ranks A-S+. Sensory techniques are blocked at the same rank as the user of this PA. (I.e. D rank ninja are undetectable to D rank sensory and below). The user can additionally use body flicker two more times in battle above the technique's limit. ▱▰▱ Professional Bonkmaster | The user receives one free custom slot to be used exclusively for their Kiseru pipe. This custom slot can be used for a Legendary tier Enchantment or to submit their Kiseru pipe as a Legendary tier Weapon, with the condition that the Crafted Item is effective only in conjuction with Smoke Release techniques, and the Edge Punisher or Meteor Crusher bukijutsu styles. This slot does not go against their Tier 4 total for the chosen crafting branch. The user's Kiseru pipe can be used in place of a great sword or hammer when using the Edge Punisher or Meteor Crusher bukijutsu styles. An additional tier of trauma is applied by techniques when using the Kiseru pipe for these styles.
