History:
Belle is the only child and daughter of Maurice, a bumbling and eccentric inventor. She was raised by her father in a small village in France where they both eventually became outcasts-- Belle for being independent and always having her nose stuck in a book, and Maurice for his strange experiments and inventions. After years of longing for a better life, Belle and her father booked passage on a merchant ship bound for a mysterious new world called Ivalice.
