The demon was surprised to see a child smiling just before being killed. Instead, the demon spared her life and cared for the child. XX▮-PERSONALITY XXXXX Yuquan for the most part, is someone who prefers to be in solitude and always been a sort of a lone wolf ever since he was young and never really sought out the company of other people. He is stoic and composed, constantly appearing emotionless and indifferent to most events, constantly maintaining an aura of maturity despite his child like stature. Yuquan shows great bravery and fortitude in any challenge presented before him, and is confident in his natural abilities. Showing a very no-nonsense attitude, he is straight to the point and speaks no more than necessary. At the same time, he is a very astute and intuitive individual, constantly perceiving the situation at hand determining how best to handle it. This behavior has led people who have interacted with him to believe that he is stuck up or a elitist. This external description is only exemplified by his heavy training regiment and habit of pointing out people's flaws both indirectly and directly.
In terms of battle Yuquan is an honorable warrior, who maintains his own set of morals and disciplines, he despises fighting dirty and cheap tactics, and refuses using firearms and artificial enhancements(drugs etc), deeming them unworthy of a "true warrior". Once he judges someone as an obstacle, he is quick to take them down without hesitation. Against one he is not required to kill, he will show mercy, offering his opponents a chance to surrender and will use no more strength than absolutely necessary.
Yuquan is perfectly aware of his talents and does not feign modesty, bluntly stating when he is stronger than his opponents and belittling them when they continued to try to fight him. Conversely, if he was proven wrong or somebody posed a legitimate challenge to him, he would admit it, and might even apologize for previous remarks if necessary. Stemming from this, he feels insulted if he knows an opponent isn't using their full power against him or toying with him.

[Martial Arts Mastery]: Yuquan acquired a state of mental, physical, and spiritual balance, making capable of defeating most enemies with his physical prowess alone. He displays knowledge of various fighting styles due to the number of martial art dojos and families he visited in his youth. He is also able to mix and merge together the individual skills of the various martial arts he knows and perform the skills simultaneously with his own nuances.
[Combat Intuition]: Yuquan can intuitively understand an opponent's method of thinking and fighting, allowing them to anticipate the moves of the opponent. Once he can understand his enemies' strategy, they are able to find their flaws and weakness and take them down with little effort. [People of the Water] The People of the Water were an ancient civilization whose existence predates that of modern society. They created the Sea Temple, as homage to honor the great Sea King Dragon. The descendants of the People of the Water act as it’s guardians .
[House of Gyarados] Long ago, there was a group of Sea Kings called the Gyarados who lived a violent and inhumane lifestyle, where they attacked anyone or thing in thier path just for the thrill of battle. They all shared an innate enjoyment for conflict and fighting, choosing violence and barbarism over peace with others. Even among other Sea Kings they were extremely aggressive and hard-headed, with short explosive tempers. They almost came to combat one another to extinction until one stood out above the others. It is said that this Gyarados was able to retain his reason and did not act solely for destruction and slaughter allowing him to use his power and intellect far more effectively than his brethren. As the years progressed the Sea King Dragon bestowed this family name to a group of its guardians to cement this story into legend.
[The Shiryū (Four Dragon Kings ] The House of Gyarados, is renowned for producing genius martial artists for generations. It was said that in his prime Yuquans grandfather Yulong was among the strongest martial artist in the world and mastered countless techniques. In his youth he would travel across the world to find martial artist,weapon specialists,and other such warriors who have mastered their skills and challenged them. Yuan's grandfather fought against master's who's skill can be called legendary, myth even. After many years he had perfected and even created multiple fighting styles and techniques becoming known as the Azure Spear. Seeking out powerful warriors to ally himself with Yuan's grandfather along with two others formed a powerful trinity, and grew to be renowned as a group of elite and powerful warriors each with thier own talents. Though they were known to fight against significant threats, they rarely fought as one unit. Because of the looseness of the group, there was no official leader, though each member of the had taken turns in a "leading" role when the group needed it most. It was said that the Shiryū were among the strongest organized group of thier generation as each of them posses a specialized skill. The individual members of the Shiryū eventually split forming thier own dojo’s , across the world.
[The Dragon of the Forge : Toshin Raizen ] In their homeland Yuans father was a very famous blacksmith who grew enough influence to begin his own forge. At the start of his legend, he was a lone-wolf with no past to speak of. He travelled by his lonesome, and didn't rely on anyone. The utmost he did was kindly help other people whenever they were oppressed or needed it. His clan forming, was due to the charisma those he saved felt from a combination of both his strength, and resolve protect them, regardless of who they were and whether they were strong, or, weak. All those who met with him weather in battle, or by chance always seemed to hold him in high regard. Even Raizen’s fiercest enemies held a vast amount of respect in his power,and his subordinates followed him without reprouch.
During one of his venture he met a young woman of the Gyarados clan named Yuanab. The two fought together side by side slowly falling in love and later after enduring many hardships married. Thanks to his wife’s encouragement, he became ambitious and was able to establish,and fully maintain his own territory in a much shorter period than most.
[The Birth ] While the Sea Temple had grown in strength they were constantly under attack by Evil Mages seeking fable treasures of the dragon. These constant battles resulted in countless deaths including the death of Yuquans mother Yuanabi. Soon after that event Raizen felt an emptiness inside him a void no amount of bloodshed can fill. He shut himself away from others became engulfed in darkness. He abandoned his clan causing the members to scatter across the land and took his newly born son Yuquan to a remote village to protect his wife’s final gift. There he was simply known as an individual who womanizes, drinks and is somewhat irresponsible in caring for his son.
[The Young Dragon] Yuan knows his father genuinely loves him despite the facade of a deadbeat dad that he tends to show others. Yuquan is obsessively proud of his father, and his family history. Growing up, he was often visited by the former members of his fathers and grandfathers clan, many of whom watched after him and trained Yuquan when his father away. As a child, he was excited at the prospect of succeeding his father, and trained hard to master his techniques. When Yuquan revealed he could use his mother’s abilities as well his father and grandfather became emotional stating it was inherited from his mother. They brought him to the Sea King Dragon to be trained where he eventually became a Slayer by earning the Dragons Heritage.
[The Sea King Dragon Slayer ] Yuquan was raised to become a martial artist like his ancestors and has been trained in various forms of combat as preparation to take revenge on the ones who slaughtered his clan to near extinction. As a child, he was extremely weak, and had to train much harder to master his clans most basic skills. However, recently his latent potential has begun to manifest itself and Yuan has showed great progress as a Slayer.

XX▮-BIOGRAPHY XXXXXBorn to humble beginnings, Archibald hails from a rural region of Fiore. There he lived on a farm that had been in his family for generates, founded by his great great great (many "great"s later) grandfather, Arthur Dagonet, a once powerful mage whom's adventures and exploits served as bedtime stories for all the Dagonet children. Life on the farm could be a bit rough, as each member of the Dagonet family was expected to pitch in their fair share of the work, but fortunately their family was quite large, including his parents and six siblings, of which Archie was the third oldest. With all of them working together, they were able to bring in bountiful harvests and get by well enough, enjoying simple but comfortable lives. Archie was especially found of the time he was able to spend helping to prepare meals with his family, taking to the culinary arts like a fish to water.
XXXXXUnfortunately, several years ago, a drought befell their lands, leading to a very difficult growing season. Despite hours and hours of tireless work, his family was barely able to produce any crops and greatly struggled financially. They were even at risk of losing their ancestral home. Seeing this, Archie and his two older siblings made a pack with one another. To reduce their parents financial burden, they would each leave home to find work and send whatever funds they could back home to support their family. Though their parents were sadden by their children's departures, they understood their reasoning and respected their decisions. Still, while their parents may not have been able to provide them with anything in the ways finances, each of the three siblings were entrusted with one of Arthur's treasures, magical relics that had once been used by the great mage. This is how Archie came to possess Cairead, the magical shovel. And thus, three Dagonet siblings left home and headed out into the world, eventually all going their separate ways.
XXXXXIn Archie's case, he wound up heading in the way of Margaret Town. In his travels, he had found work in various restaurants, typically as either a dishwasher or bus boy. However, Margaret Town offered him a new employment opportunity, the mage guild Lamia Scale. Up until this point he had been barely scraping, hardly making enough to support himself, let alone send money back how to his family. The jobs offered to mages though were quite lucrative though and he could definitely find better opportunities within the guild. Sure, going on all sorts of dangerous missions was a terrifying prospect, but knowing that his two older siblings were also out there somewhere in the world taking on similar risks, it gave him just enough courage to give it a shot. And so, Archie set aside his hesitations and joined up with Lamia Scale.
XXXXXIt's been a year or so since Archie officially became a mage. In that time, his skills and magical abilities have greatly improved, though sadly, the same cannot be said about his confidence. He's still a rather cowardly boy and has botched more than a few jobs he's taken on. Fortunately, while he may not be the most adept of mages, he's managed to earn his keep in the guild through his culinary skills, finding himself often working in the guild's kitchen. Still, despite his many many failures, he hasn't quite lost hope yet and continues to push himself to become a better mage.
