Clever Tracker Sanderson had agreed with her sisters that they needed a home a pack, they had talked and fussed over where to go for a long time before they decided to make the Swamp Lurker pack their home. Clever and her sisters were kept in isolation for a week to make sure they were not spirits. Clever didn't mind much since she felt in her heart that spirits were living breathing creatures so to speak and the pack being careful of the whims was smart. She had heard of the ranks and she knew as soon as she arrived that she wanted to become a scout. She wanted to freedom to run the swamp, learn it's secrets and find the gifts the swamp might give the pack.

The shadows were deep in the swamp but Clever wasn't worried she was confident she could handle herself, but she wasn't sure if the swamp would accept her or if it would try to keep her from her goal. She would not give up though. She believed this would be best for her sisters and best for her own desires as well. She looked out into the swamp looking for the spirit she would follow through the swamp on her journey. Then she saw it a glowing blue pup her family's greatest desire. Clever watched as the pup jumped around a bit and wagged its ghost-like tail. Then the spirit took off into the swamp. Clever watched and then she started to follow. She didn't think a spirit had a scent so she couldn't keep track of it that way so she followed as fast as she could using her eyes.
