Kenny counted out the coins for them immediately and Weslyn nervously took her spot. Kenny's first dark sailed between the balloons. Yukon's dart was a little more successful, splattering a fair number on the board. Wes took aim from a little further, hoping not to get her dress dirty then carefully and threw her own.

  Yukon Knolle Unsorted First Year▬▬"Potatoes have Skin. I have Skin."▬▬ Yukon clapped in joy as himself, Weslyn, and then Kenny hit balloons. The splatter was a bit funny, but Kenny would probably be loving it. Yukon went in for the second toss, trying to hit a balloon again. He counted how much change he had in his pocket mentally, yes, he should have enough for all three ot keep their paintings, it would be a great memory of the day. ▬▬"Therefore, I must be a potato."▬▬ ╔══════════════╗

This was more interesting than Weslyn had thought at first-- and it wasn't just because she'd speared a few on her first try!. She clapped cheerfully when Kenny more than made up for his first miss with a bunch of splatters and then Yukon hit just as many.

Weslyn was just happy to see her brothers having a good time. With fewer balloons, she finally spotted the tiny gold one--and was it tiny! With her eye on that one in particular, she threw the final dart.

Weslyn was surprised when the booth man took all three of their splatter-paints to dry. She had noticed that technically Yukon and she tied for “most mess” but she couldn’t imagine he’d give both of them their boards. “How,” as she remembered a voice in her past nagging, “would he make a living?”
But with a jolly wink and accepting Yukon’s five sickles for Kenny’s board, the booth manager handed all three of them their dried paint boards. Weslyn accepted hers with a quiet, confused ”Thank you.”.
She stared at her board. It was a mess. There was a swipe of pink from one of her last balloons exploding, and one of Yukon’s balloons had made a splatter over half of her board. But...she lifted up the board and held it up next to her brothers’ boards and all the stray splatter-marks seemed to make sense. A colorful mess. Weslyn found herself smiling without being entirely aware. ”That was fun!”
