After she had take time to consider the cave or the mountain's trail she decided going with the trail was probably best. She had noticed everything was an ashy color which could be a good or bad thing depending on if the lost ponies were vibrant or not. As she kept a sharp eye out she came to a fork in the road to go left or right.

Mountains were always nice... certainly cooler then the beach and someplace he felt a lot more comfortable at... alone. Terribly alone at the moment but now to make a decision which way should he go.
That cave looked terribly spooky, so he decided on the nice trail around the mountain. No caves for him right now. Thank you very much. Now to start walking.

Gently the pony's eyebrows knit together at your statement but their relief and excitement to see their fellows hasn't subsided at all, in fact it's only grown. Though they lean heavily against you, they manage to pick up their wobbly pace just a bit with earnest hope and curiosity. Once you get down to where the Healers have set up spots on the beach, the pony lets out an exlamation and all but collapses onto another pair of the mysterious feathered ponies. A healer simply chuckles and goes about stocking you back up with bottled water before sending you back to the mountain once more!
Melomar Please follow the prompt below
Your hooves take you around the mountain, it gets a bit steeper as the path heads up and up, the heat rising slightly and the plantlife beginning to resemble dried and dead weeds and sticks more than actual plants. Just as you start to believe that all you'll ever do is go up, you feel the trail start to tilt just a bit. Just a bit further down you see a path that cuts off this main one and heads downward between two mountain peaks.
Roll 1d4. 1-2. Nothing has presented itself along this path, but you can see the canyon beginning to open up below you and that's reason enough for you to continue on that way! There could be something down in that canyon, a river maybe? 3-4. If you were lost along these mountains you'd certainly want to find any path that looked different than this, so off you go down the path between the mountains. Oh these mountains just keep going around and around!
------------------
Everything seems to be cool and quiet as you head into the thicket, shade here makes it a lot easier to breathe than on that mountain path. Birds are singing all around, you could almost forget the reason that you've come up into these mountains at all the way it feels so calm and relaxing. In the distance you hear a noise, a curious one certainly but not anything that sounds extremely stressed.
Roll 1d4. 1-2: You keep hearing that same curious sound, it almost sounds like a sort of cooing noise. You follow it further into the thicket 3-4: There are all sorts of noises up here, that noise could be anything. Still, you search around the area where you can see first.

Nebit let out kind of a loud sound of relief as she moved off the mountain's trail and into the thicket that ran along beside it. The thick trees and under brush help shade her away from the sun's harsh glare and dropped the surrounding temperature a couple degrees. As a spring pony she could deal with humidity better than straight heat. Humidity meant water in the air because rain wasn't always cold. It was just more often so then not. Of course it really wasn't humid there but it felt like it sometimes.

Mountain path, mountain path and it was getting a tag bit boring now and ooh... he paused considering the path that went between. Ooh! Well, that looks like a great idea. At the very least something a bit different. Snaps stretched and started down the path between.

Joscelin followed the path as it wound around the mountain. The incline made the walk more difficult on them in this heat, but they gamely continued on, taking a sip of water every now and again. When the path forked, they took a chance on the path that went down into the canyon. If there really was a river, there could be accessible water that could attract a lost pony. There were many ifs to their way of thinking, but trying to put themselves into a lost pony's hooves, it seemed like a plausible choice. So off the pegasus went.

Babbling Brook wasn't quite sure what to make of these mountains. "Following this path sure makes you dizzy! Going around and around and around and a-hey!" Ripple had thwacked its tail against Babble's muzzle, bringing her out of it. "Okay, okay. But anyway, just looking at these mountains makes me dizzy! Glad we got off that path earlier though, otherwise we may not have been able to continue it. It kept getting more and more narrow. Narrower and narrower and narrower and-Okay, okay! I get it! Talk later, find now! Geez." She huffed and was silent for a moment.
"You know, if we're gonna find anyone, it's probably because they'll hear us coming. So it's a good thing that I talk so much!" Ignoring the pointed look that Ripple was giving her, she turned her muzzle towards the direction they were walking. "Hello, hello? Any creature in need of some assistance?" She called as she continued on her path.

There, in the cool of the thicket was a little 'shelter' that somepony had built. Branches were leaned against one another in the shade of a large tree. As you draw closer a head pokes out, but this pony looks entirely too bundled up! No wonder they're sweating so much, what with all that clothing they were wearing!
Their eyes glance you up and down and their feathers popped up. "Do you know anywhere cooler? How can you all live here?" Well that was blunt and rude you decide, but one more pony found!

Slowly you curve down between the two mountains, down into the shadows where the only noise seems to be nothing, the only scent is stone. Baked stone. You start to get just a bit bored even if you're cooling off, it sets your mind to wandering, your thoughts going blank, you....r... is that a pony?
There in the center of the path downward, in the darkest part of the shadows gathered, is a pony that looks at you just as curiously as you are them. Feathers cover them, sweat is rolling off their body, and they're peering at your tail as if they'd never seen anything like it ever. "Oh you have... feathers as well." They fall square over.

Each of you are searching through the area, knowing full well that there are very few ponies left to be found when a noise rises through the air. A loud bang pulls your eyes skyward to see a brilliantly yellow and red firework burning in the sky. The signal that all of the mysterious ponies had apparently been found! That meant the beach was going to be quite busy and the Healers might have been taking quite good care of all of them, but they needed help too!
Off you run back to the party!

Wait..... that.. well this wasn't good at all. Snaps paused, considering the suddenly fainted? collapsed? pony. "Um... okay," He glanced back at his tail and sighed. It wasn't like he could just leave them... and they.. couldn't weight that much. He worked together to drape the pony on his back and started to walk back the way he came. If the pony woke up well.. he or she could help by walking themselves to safety.
