Additional information: Essentially a hybrid between the M117, MRAP Cougar,, RG-33L, and Stryker series of vehicles, with a substantially more powerful and efficient 268 horsepower engine which shares commonality to the RIPSAW tank and utilizes hybrid electric design similar to the Bravo HumVEE series vehicle to achieve more power and extended range, with 70% less fuel usage. Internally, the vehicle more closely resembles the lay-out of the M113, which is shorter than the Stryker despite having a greater total passenger volume, which is done largely by moving the turret operator to the middle of the vehicle and pushing the seats as far back to the driver as possible, thus opening up more space.
The vehicle utilizes 16 specially designed uninflated tires, can carry multiple spare tires, and as well allows for the side or back exit of the vehicle, for rapid deployment. It's designed to be fit with a multitude of weapons, ranging from light machine guns, to anti-air weaponry, to anti-tank missiles. The vehicles has approximately 580 square feet of surface area of armor protected, with an average weight of 35 pounds per square foot for the standard model, and 10 or 17 pounds per square foot for the light or para-models. The ultralight para model is designed to stop armor piercing 7.62mm x 54mmR rounds and .30-06 AP rounds, while the 17 pound and 35 pound variants are esigned to stop .50 caliber armor piercing rounds and 14.5mm armor piercing rounds. The weapon has a steel and carbon fiber superstructure which serves as a backing to the armor of the vehicle. The weapons and ammunition weigh 1350 pounds alone, while the turret adds another few hundred pounds. The gasoline adds another 1250 pounds. Typically for the paramodels, these vehicles are underloaded deliberately in order to reduce the weight sufficiently to fit in a helicopter or V-22.
