So, how does one make proper gold on this site? (A)

Eariler I managed to get 2500 GC, and used that to make some spending cash using the monthly collectible.

However.. I feel like I could of gotten more, now that i'm seeing more items from the shops. For future reference, what should I look into before deciding to buy GC for the purpose of making gold?

I make most of my gold in Lake Kindred. Beating the sycamortes usually gives 1 billion or 2 billion gold. However, they can be pretty hard to beat.
