There is a way, I´d say, to stop it. Stop selling gold generators, make events with gold sinks and such. If Gaia keep selling gold generators, and users keep buying them and using them, gold will keep getting generated into the system so it´ll just be a never ending cycle. What Gaia is doing now, selling gold generators while trying to make gold sink events, is pretty much the same as peeing your pants to keep yourself warm. I´m sure that there´s way more to it, but I am sadly not qualified enough to really talk about it ;w;
♦ What road do I take? ♣ "Where do you want to go?" ♥ I don't know. ♠ "Then, it really doesn't matter, does it?"

My friend who introduced me to this website, was telling me about the inflation. She said that it is hard to get gold and everything costs so much that people get discouraged and leave, but I'm only on my second day and I already have 505,504 gold. Is that not as much as I think it is because of inflation?

Hi Indigo! Unfortunately, 505 thousand isn't going to add up to much in this economy. It used to be quite a lot of gold! In fact, less than a decade ago, that could be the budget of an entire event. Nowadays, that will earn you very little.
The NSTG has made an official response to the source of the rapid hyper-inflation (meaning: inflation at a larger-than-healthy rate of growth): gold generators. To read more about what gold generators are and why they're helpful, check out this thread.
