The next spike trap didn't even phase her. Falair did not even loose her stride as the sharp spikes sliced at her skin.

This time. This was the time Falair was sure of it. She would make it through. She would pass this test and then she could move on with her life. There was only forward, no going back. The spike traps gave her pause but she pushed through the pain.

Falair barely escaped the next spike trap. The adrenaline rushing through her made her feel almost invincible. As well as light headed. She almost walked right into one of the spikes but at the last second side stepped it to continue on.

Like seriously who was in charge of hiding these treasures? They weren't doing a very good job of it. Perhaps they had just gotten super lazy about it. Well that was uncalled for. If you couldn't take pride in your work then what was the point of doing the job in the first place?

There it was, the end. So far so good. She hadn't had anything fall on her or anymore spikes pop out of the floor. Falair's pace quickened, only to slow when yet another piece of treasure appeared. Not that she was greedy but who cared, Falair scooped up the second piece of extra treasure and tucked it into her pouch.

Picking up her pace once more until finally she reached the exit. Collapsing to her hands and knees while a few others who had been watching came to congratulate her on her finishing the test. Finally.

She was only slightly out of breath and super achy. Now she was going to drag herself to the hot springs and have a nice, long soak. And revel in her new title as Sage.
