My kids always get sick on or around their birthdays.

That sucks. Hopefully they can get better in time to enjoy their special days. They shouldn't be stuck in bed miserable.

unrelated note. When I read the title my first though "a fire call going off while eating dinner/on the can/just getting comfy and about to fall asleep"

Well this year we got lucky. Alex had her birthday (it was on Thanksgiving) but now she's sick.

Olivia's isn't until March. But she was sick her first birthday.

At least Alex got to enjoy it in good health, even if she is sick now. Hopefully Olivia doesn't manages to not get sick this year.

Double crossing my fingers Olivia isn't sick on her birthday. Baby #3 is due March 6th or 7th

Whenever I had to go to the DMV office to get my picture taken for my driver's permit and later driver's license, I always ended up being sick (either getting over a cold or starting to get one) during that time. Even though my picture turned out fine and you don't know that I was sick at the time by looking at it, I always think of it whenever I look at it or someone comments on how nice it is. sweatdrop
